Pet care experience
I prefer animals to some people. At the moment, I only have one cat (Oatsy), a snow shoe breed. Cole, my black lab passed several years ago from cancer. Last year Pepper, my terrier mix passed away leaving me heartbroken. Although, I'm not ready to get another dog. Animals have always been a part of my family. I enjoyed taking them places as they loved going. I have been fortunate to have many awesome pets throughout my life. Pets are special and I look forward to bonding with yours. Your pets will always be in good hands with me. I'll love them unconditionally and treat them as my own. They are a great comfort and joy to so many people. I have visited nursing homes with them and that's an option if you would like. I look forward to getting to know your pets. Animals are truly some of my best friends!

Demaris was the very best first time we were away without worrying about her. Demaris sent pictures and left us know how she was doing. Sophie did not get sick when she came home in the pass we would end up taking her to the Vet. because she got so worked up. We don't use a sitter often but we will go back to Demaris for sure. 5 stars plus from us. Thank you very much.
OH MY GOODNESS!!! Demaris D. was the PERFECT companion and caretaker for my precious 9 1/2 year old English Bulldog! She considered not putting Rachel in the lower level of her beautiful & clean split level home because the wood burning stove would make it hard to breathe. Immediately upon our arrival, Demaris got down on all fours in her living room and Rachel responded by playing with her - not many people can get her to do this! Demaris rinsed Rachel's eyes with Saline Solution and administered GenTeal Eye Drops several times because Rachel does not make Tears anymore and is losing her eyesight. She treated her with a new peanut butter inverted bowl toy that I had just bought for this occasion and Demaris blew bubbles when she felt Rachel may be getting bored! She sent me photos throughout the day and even a video made up of pictures of Rachel enjoying herself or snoring away on Demaris' covered couch. When I came to pick Rachel up, she went back & forth between me and her new special friend a few times! What a wonderful experience! Demaris really connects with the animals placed in her care! So glad we found her!
Conveniently located near my home in Loyalsock (though address is Montoursville). My dog was well-cared for and was the only dog in the home. There is a cat there but there were no issues. Demaris replies promptly and asks good questions. I give four stars rather than five because for the price I would expect there to be a crate provided as well as anything else the local kennel offers. It’s pretty inconvenient to have to break down and transport the heavy crate.
Demaris is wonderful with animals. I never liked the idea of kenneling my pets when I wasn't home. Demaris has watched my dog at her home several times when I was away and I could leave knowing she was in great hands - safe and well cared for. She takes care of pets like they are her own.

I have never chained my pet outside but to each their own. I only want to provide safe, positive, loving experiences for your pet. I want to know as much as I can about your pet to make sure they have an awesome experience. Also want to keep any anxiety to a minimum.
A typical day
There is a local dog park nearby I could take them to if that sounds like something your dog would enjoy. I also have a cabin 20 minutes away if they enjoy being outdoors. Fetch, ball and frisbee are usually enjoyed activities but also enjoy cuddle time. I'd like to get to know your pets to find out personal activities they enjoy. I'm always willing to learn new tricks!
