Hi, I’m Deleyla. I am a parent to 2 orange tabby brothers and 1 senior pitty named Roo. I have been a foster mom for both dogs and cats throughout my life and have over 15 years of pet-sitting experience. Growing up, I lived in a house full of foster animals. My parents took care of dogs with a variety of needs. I’ve also worked in animal shelters, and have one dog and two cats at home. I also have experience caring for goats, lizards, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters and rats. I’m a single mom to a compassionate son, August, who also loves animals and accompanies me on many of my house sitting and drop in visits! One of the things we like to do is check out the trails around town, particularly Tejas Camp. If your dog enjoys exploring, we can all go together! We also like to check out dog-friendly coffee shops and restaurants. I currently have one dog and two cats, all APA rescues. I also know how to administer medication. I love animals and I love to exercise, so I'll be able to keep your pet fit and healthy. Please take a look at my rates thoroughly before booking. Deleyla is amazing! She took such great care of our senior dog and senior cat and fish tanks. I am a little bit of an anxious traveler and worry about my pets while I am out of town. She gave such great updates with photos and videos that always kept me at ease. It was nice coming home to happy pets and my house seemed cleaner than when we left. I would recommend her and hope we get a chance for her to watch our fur babies again.

Deleyla did an excellent job caring for my cats. It was. Nice to come home to nothing broken. She even managed to keep the plants I hadn't gotten repotted watered so they didn't die. Good with plants and animals! I think it just speaks to the level of care that she provides her clients. It's hard to leave our furry children behind, but it helps so much when we know that they are in good hands.
Deleyla took AMAZING care of our three fur babies! She provided ample photos and videos (which we love!) and was nothing but the utmost professional. She left our house in exactly the condition we had left it in, if not better! We will definitely be asking to utilize her services again!!

I like to start with a meet-and-greet. I will sit on the floor or low to the ground and ignore your dog until your dog decides to make contact. Not making the first move seems to work like a charm for a peaceful connection! My first questions will be regarding your animals needs and how to care for your home in your absence. I like to know the house rules, and be sure I clean up properly. Does your dog like other dogs, cats and kids? Tell me about diet and health needs, too. Even dogs that are fine off-leash walk on leash with me, just in case. How about favorite parks or walking routes? I use the Rover app frequently to make sure communication is easy and open, so feel free to ask questions and forward information.
A typical day
If your pup is up for it, I would love to take him/her on a hike at Tejas Camp. On the way back, we can stop for a puppacino before heading home for rest. The evening will consist of lots of snuggles, pets and head scritches.

I work a flexible schedule in a dog-friendly environment. I can come in before and after work, and can also bring your pup into the office with me to ensure that they are always cared for.
