Pet care experience
I am a positive reinforcement dog handler who is in school at Carroll University, majoring in Animal Behavior. I have worked in daycare, training, boarding, and grooming, as well as in pet retail as a store manager. My career goal is to become a veterinarian specializing in behavioral issues in dogs. I am halfway there.

We are so happy to have found Deklan. Our dogs are older and require extra TLC. Deklan was responsive and detail oriented. We received frequent updates and pictures which put our minds at ease while we were gone. We will definitely be using Deklan again in the future.
Deklan was a great sitter! I received photos and updates and felt very comfortable, even as my dog is older and takes medications. Deklan was fantastic about being patient with her and giving her space and time to warm up.

I have no special requests for breeds of any kind. A dog is a dog is a dog. Please let me know ahead of time if your dog can be a tad reactive on walks, as I will know to bring a treat pouch to help with some redirection.
A typical day
I live right next to Bethesda Park in Waukesha and would be more than willing to get my car a little dirty to bring your dog for a walk around.

I adopted a fearful cat from a hoarding situation who has bloomed under my care and regularly begs for attention. Strangely enough, I have a betta in a planted 10 gallon tank who also begs for attention! Mostly for food though... Pet care is part of every moment of my day. Happy to include yours as well!
