I booked Deja under the initial impression that she was very responsive, respectful, and considerate of my dogs and their needs. However, as my booking with her progressed I feel as though I was deceived and Deja was not forth-coming with situations beforehand or as they arose. Upon meeting Deja before our trip, she asked if it would be okay to bring her newborn with her as she was breastfeeding. I had no qualms with this as my booking was for 7 hours a day. The night we left for the trip, while I am in the airport I received a message from Deja asking if she could bring her husband along because she had just had surgery and needed his help. While she did say it was okay if he did not come, I feel as though it put me in a very awkward situation seeing as I was unaware of any surgeries or issues until I was already out of the house. I agreed to him assisting with the stay but as my dog is scared of men I would not have booked Deja if I'd known he would have been coming along sooner. Upon checking the cameras in my apartment, it was apparent that she had not only brought her newborn, husband, but also a second child along with her that I was not informed of or asked about. Additionally my stay was for 7 hours a day, and while I did tell Deja it was okay for her to not stay the entire length of time and I was okay with her going somewhere or getting other things done, I just wanted my dog to be out of her crate during the day, only 1 day out of the 7 days she was booked did she stay over 5 hours. I should have been more clear as to what exactly I meant by not staying the full time booked, but I did not expect her to leave 3 or more hours early every day. Out of the 49 hours the booking was scheduled for, I can only confirm she was there for 20.4 hours. On the 5th day of the booking, after not seeing her on the cameras by 4pm that day I contacted her to see how my dogs were doing. After which she did inform me she hadn't been to my home yet and was falling a bit behind that day. My cameras did not see her that day until 7:28pm. Over text she had assured me she would stay late to make up for the issue but my cameras only show her from 7:28 to 7:30pm that day. On the 7th and final day of the booking she did not show up. After becoming aware of the issue the next day while we were on the way home, she did offer to stop by and let my dog out but at that point it had already been well over 43 hours since my dog had access to food, water, or the bathroom since she had left before 4pm the day prior to her not showing. After returning home my house was as tidy as we had left it. The dog room where my dog's crate was housed was a soiled mess due to my dog trying to escape her crate during the time she was left there. She had torn up the floor coverings and kicked her tray pan out but overall she was okay. My dog was significantly skinnier upon arriving home. She has always been a skinny/narrow dog but not to the extent she was upon on arriving home. You can clearly see all her ribs and every notch in her spine. Comparing it to pictures of her just before the trip and after returning home there is a clear difference in her size. I cannot confirm it but I am under the assumption she was only fed once a day instead of twice which would explain the immense weight loss. Only upon request was I offered a refund for the day she did not show up and at that point I was refunded 30 dollars initially, instead of the 60 dollars I paid per day for 2 dogs. I did express that I believe that was the incorrect amount and Deja was readily able to correct the issue. Overall, my house was in good condition upon returning home, both of the dogs were given water and fed during the days she was there, and there is plenty of footage of my dog playing fetch with Deja or other games. I do feel as though I was deceived and my instructions were not entirely followed. I will not book with Deja again.

Great help for this out of Towner who came in for a ball game. Sent pictures and kept me updated. Will definitely use again if I'm in the area and need a doggy sitter.
