Pet care experience
I have skills caring for animals and pet sitting from several years working on farms, as well as three years of experience with Trusted Housesitter. I love animals generally speaking, and have previously cared for dogs, cats, birds, horses, goats, pigs, llamas. I feel well equipped to give lots of love, keep on your feeding schedules, get everybody the exercise they need, attend to milking, and to take care of medication’s as needed. I’m glad to work with repeat-care as well as new pets. I do work a full-time job, and have some fluidity for scheduling based on your pet and home needs.

Deirdre was very kind and welcomed Pyro into her charming home. We could tell he had a great time there. Her dog, Love was a polite companion to our dogs stay. We will definitely let her know next time we're in the area :)
Deirdre is WONDERFUL! She has so many layers of caregiving and listening skills. She is gentle, responsible, reliable, and an excellent and clear communicator. She is an avid walker and hiker as well as the best chill cuddle buddy for your furry companions. We have two high maintenance cats; one who has serious medical issues and medication needs and one pretty chill dog who has a hardwired fear of skateboards, as well as backyard hens. There aren’t many folks that we trust to attend to them all because of their fairly fussy requirements, and Deirdre is one of the few people we have had great experiences with. I recommend her highly and without any reservations!
Deirdre was an excellent cat sitter. She stayed with our three cats for a week and a half and provided outstanding care. She came over a few weeks before to meet the cats, and then scheduled a call with me a couple days before the sit to figure out last minute details and see if there were any updates. Throughout the sit, she was very communicative and sent us plenty of pictures of our cats. I felt comfortable they were happy, healthy and well-cared for, and could just enjoy my trip. We came back to a clean house and content cats. We highly recommend Deirdre.

I'd like to know if the pooch has bladder/bowel control. I most enjoy walking dogs that don't require a muzzle, and am uncomfortable using chain collars. I'd also want to know where your dog is with voice command, and what to expect in their behavior when I initially arrive at your house. Does your dog like the water/is it safe to take them places to potentially swim.
A typical day
I like to vary the walks that I go on, so I can expect to share lots of different smells, sounds, experiences with your pet. As far as fun activities, I always love a good snuggle sash, and I’m glad to pull out the frisbee, ball, or water dish as desired…

Availability
Generally, my schedule has flexibility, and I love getting out for walks and movement frequently in the day! My friendly aussi shepherd may join in walks. If your dog comes to stay, there is fenced and unfenced area, as well as woodlands and beach where we may spend time.
