Cozy Pup Resort!

Pet care experience

Kindness and patience are built into my personality. Both are essential for relating to animals of all kinds--humans too! That’s why I love dogs so much: they can sense our feelings and emotions when we need a companion, and their playful nature reminds me to look on the bright side of everything. My husband and I have two dogs, Bennet and Dax, and we love them dearly. Our home has a great backyard, so they get all the exercise and playtime they could ever need. There’s a misting fan out back, too--the dogs can’t get enough of it on hot days! We also have a fantastic park just a short walk away, so every time we go out, Bennet and Dax get excited because they know exactly where we’re headed, and they couldn’t be happier. My husband and I are both teachers here in Texas and on our free time we absolutely love our Cozy Pup Resort through Rover meeting new dogs and their owners! We have a doggie door that allows the pups to go in and out when we are home and we love to play with them as much as possible before and after school days! I know how hard it is to find dependable and devoted caregivers, so I want to provide as much support as I can, especially if our families turn out to be a great fit! Our schedule for the school year is different on weekdays and weekends: Drop offs/Pick ups can take place between 6:30pm-8:30pm. Being teachers, we get done with school in the early evening and then settle down the house around 8:30. The visitors get outside access all day with the doggie door! Meet and Greets: We are only scheduling meet and greets on Sunday in the late afternoon between 3pm and 5pm.

DeeAnn was very welcoming to Bella and made the introductions to the other dogs in a very organized manner. She did a great job keeping us up to date on Bella’s stay including great pictures. Glad we found her for our pet Bella to stay while we were away.

Dobby had the best time at DeeAnn and Ryan’s house. I was a little nervous, since it was only our second time using Rover, but Dee was very patient and reassuring. We got lots of pictures of our happy boy and would definitely use them again.

Our dogs looked so happy when we picked them up and not stressed as they usually would after we’ve been away for a long vacation. This was everything I could have asked for when using Rover. Dee was great about keeping in touch with us during our time away. She often sent us pictures of the pups to assure us they’re having a great time. We will definitely book with you again! Thank you for loving our pups!

Information DeeAnn E. would like to know about your pet

Dax and Bennett get along with all of the animals we have cared for through Rover.com. We accept most breeds, we feel comfortable doing a meet and greet before all stays so our animals can get comfortable with each other. Other than that, I'd love for you to tell me your story! How long has your dog been in your care, and how did you find each other? What previous history should I know about? What’s your pup’s personality? What kinds of people and animals has he been socialized with, and who does he get along with best? What’s your schedule like? Do you have a particular routine that helps your dog thrive? What does a typical day look like? Are there any dietary restrictions or preferences? Will you be providing food? What kind of environment does your dog sleep in? What should I know about your dog’s medical needs, such as medications or anything I should keep an eye out for? Any other information you’d like me to have?

A typical day

First, we’ve got to get comfortable with each other. I’ll check with you first about the best approach, but I typically have a treat in hand for a meet-and-greet, and get on the pup’s body level and let them feel me out. After that, I love to jump right into play, because it’s the language dogs speak most fluently! When we’re together, we’ll burn some energy together with walks and playing fetch or any other games your dog loves. Then, when we’re all worn out, we’ll wrap up the day with cuddles. While we have a regular routine in place already, there’s room for flexibility so that your pup will feel totally at ease.
