Pet care experience
*I do not do overnight stays.* I spent my childhood caring for up to 18 sled dogs and mushing with my dad. After graduation I worked a year at a boarding/grooming/ training pet facility. Since then I have worked as a Veterinary Tech Assistant in a pet ER, and currently work a veterinarian assistant position at a general practice vet clinic. I am qualified in emergency canine CPR, as well as a general know how for emergencies. I love animals of many species and sizes and though I certainly do not know all there is about pet care, I know quite a bit. I am a good listener and quick learner so if you have an uncommon pet, I am happy to learn from you as well as research. Personally I have a hedgehog and two dogs. I have owned chickens, dogs, cats, various other farm animals and cared for many more various species. I can trim nails, give meds, walk, general training and much more. If you need someone who will care for your pet as for their own, here I am.

Dee was wonderful. Our original pet sitter had an emergency come up and wasn’t able to watch our pets. The day before we left Dee was able to come over meet them and took care of them so wonderfully. Our dog is a very nervous nelly when she’s alone and Dee made sure to check on her multiple times a day and in the middle of the night. Tons of pictures were sent and the communication was wonderful.
My dogs loved Dee, I know my babies are in the best hands, 10/10

I am very big on safety and a stress free environment, both for me, you and especially for your pet(s). If I believe a situation to be unsafe or stressful for pet I will remove us both. I will use proper restraint if restraint for anything is needed. I have a 1year old son who may come with me on most visits so if your pet is not child friendly please let me know.

I need to know of allergies, any medical conditions, medications if I need to give them, feeding instructions as well as a general potty schedule. I also need a good contact number if anything happens or I have questions. Who is your regular vet? How many hours is ok between potty breaks? Are they friendly with all dogs, just some or not at all? Are they ok around children? Are they food aggressive? Are they leash trained?
A typical day
I do not have the ability to take pets places in my vehicle but love to spend time outdoors playing fetch, recall, leash training or anything else the pet needs. If you have a back/front yard or an area within walking distance, I can take your fur babies on small adventures and get some energy spent.
