Welcome Pups!
Pet care experience
Dog lover for life. Growing up we always had pets- dogs, ducks and at times even cows and horses. As an adult I’ve always had a pair of dogs. March of 2021- I lost my older pup and it was just Murphy and me and we were lonesome. Thus we started doing Rover. In November 2021, we added a puppy to our house- Elsie Violet is also westie and she keeps us on our toes. I have loved having the Rover dogs come stay with us and I know my dogs have enjoyed it too. Elsie in particular loves the extra puppy playmates. I know first hand how hard it is to find someone to care for your pup(s) when you have to go out of town. I invite your pups(s) into my home and it is their home also during their stay!
Reviews
Our pugs LOVE staying with Dee, Murphy and Elsie! And Dee is on top of things like this time when I didn't include enough food for the stay, Dee handled it, which was very nice, and we didn't have to worry while away on vacation. Highly recommend.
Very easy to work with, Dee's dogs were the perfect match for Chego and our puppy, Tilly - they played and played and played and hardly noticed we were gone. Safe house and yard, received pics and updates daily. Recommend!
Dee was truly wonderful! We are still fairly new to Rover and she did an awesome job making sure we knew Tegan was in good hands. And her dogs (Murphy and Elsie) are the best little hosts! Tegan looks forward to hanging with them again!!
Dee was wonderful. We left our puppy for the first time and we’re feeling a little anxious about it. Dee sent pictures and gave us updates, relieving any stress we had with regard to leaving our sweet boy.

Dogs are family to me. When I am home the dogs have access to the whole house. When I am away I shut bedroom doors and they can hold down the sofa or recliner. They always have the ability to go outside to the fenced backyard. I have a security system with outside cameras and an indoor camera so that I can check on them when I am at work. I don’t give my pups much people food but they enjoy carrots, apple, or plain Greek yogurt and organic blueberries frozen in a kong toy. We go camping during the summer, visit dog parks, and friends.

Information Dee E. would like to know about your pet
Please share any information that will make your pup feel more comfortable at my home. Tell me about your pup- age, breed, daily routine and their personality. How do they do with other dogs? Typically I limit the number of extra pups to 2, maybe 3 if I know the pups from previous visits with us. Tell me if your dog is outgoing or shy? Are they house trained? I like to know their food and feeding schedule and if they use any special bowls? Does your pup have any special needs? Elderly hearing or vision loss? Arthritis? Etc. Tell me about your pups typical day? Do they like to chew on Bully strips? Play fetch? Car rides? Go for walks or bike rides? If they come to stay with me I’d like to know if they take any medication? Who is their Veterinarian? I am a registered nurse and know first aid/CPR but my real dog training has come from the pups I’ve rescued that had special needs as well as the changes that just come as a pup ages into their final years such as skin conditions, need for frequent baths, daily medications or eye drops, dry eyes, seizures, arthritis, blindness and hearing loss.
A typical day
After morning cuddles and breakfast than we like to work out in the yard, go for a walk to check out the neighborhood and see if we can spot the wild turkeys that hang out. We like to go visit dog parks or hang on the sofa and watch a movie.

My pups are so special to me. Spoiled describes them best. I have a dog door to a fenced back yard. We have lots of dog toys, chews, and a dog bed in every room. As my dogs are under 25 lbs, they have their own car seats for backseat driving and a basket that holds them on my bike for rides. They go everywhere with me- camping, hiking, paddle boarding and even occasionally to work. I work full time typically M-F. I am a homebody so when I am not working I am at home or my pups are with me. I am able to run home in the middle of the day if needed. My pups generally sleep when I am at work with occasional patrols of the backyard to keep the pesky squirrels off the fence or to check out some other perceived threat such as leaves blowing across the lawn, neighbors chatting- in their own yard- or innocently walking their dog on the community sidewalk 20 feet from our yard. LOL.
