A recent graduate from Columbia University and now a small business owner, I have over 11 years of professional pet care experience in the NYC Metro area. I have experience with all animals from dogs and cats of all breeds from traditional to exotic, to caged mammals and reptiles, to more exotic pets (reptiles, livestock). I've worked with all types of animals with a variety of temperaments - from a blind Jack Russell Terrier, to a hyper, rescued Pit Bull in need of discipline training, to chatty parrots, to two Bengal cats who would fight often! Over the years, I've seen and handled it all, both professionally and personally and you can be rest assured that your pets are in the best hands possible. I can accommodate a variety of needs, including drop-in visits for cats and dogs, extended visits for anxious or young pets, overnights stays with your pet, house sitting services, and everything in-between. Anything you need from walks, runs, dog park trips, baths, training, and medication administration (oral, shots, subcutaneous fluids), or specialized care can be covered. Below, I cover in more detail a sampling of the most popular services I offer to current clients: DROP-IN VISITS: a 30 to 45 minute indoor visit with your cat, dog, bird, or caged pet. These visits can include scooping or changing litter to your specifications, changing wee pads, cage cleaning, playtime, fresh water, food, medication and treats as requested, and cleanup of any accidents. DOG WALKS: a 30 or 60 minute dog walk includes a walk, and any feeding requests you may have for before or after the walk. In order to maximize the exercise your dog receives, I do not start timing the walk until we are outside on the pavement. Where possible, I always follow the requested route you prefer for your pet, otherwise I always aim to stay away from heavily trafficked areas so your pet can enjoy a quiet and relaxing walk. Where requested, I also offer leash and command training for dogs during the walk if requested. For repeat customers with whom I’ve developed working relationship with, off-leash time in designated dog walk areas is available with express permission. OVERNIGHT STAYS: Going away for a few days but worried your pet won’t feel comfortable in a new place? An overnight stay in your home with your pet includes an evening walk, pre-bedtime walk, morning walk, and any feedings during that time. What’s Included: A complimentary Meet & Greet is offered to all prospective clients where I will go over your pet’s routine, get acquainted with your pet, and answer any questions. All services include a text or email update with photos. Where requested, I also include free housesitting services such as mail and package retrieval, light and thermostat adjustments, or other minor household issues that may pop up unexpectedly while you’re away.
