Pet care experience
Hi. My name is Deb. While I am new to Rover, I am not new in the dog caring world. I have had many dogs and have taken care of many of my friends dogs, cats and horses while they have needed time away. Because I am an avid animal lover and rescuer, I figured this would be a great way to earn extra cash and bringing more furry joy into our home. I am experienced in dog therapy & horse therapy. I have 2 wonderful, funny, gentle hound mixes Banjo and Sarah. I live in Chardon with over an acre or more fenced in running room. My dogs love other dogs. I am experienced in giving insulin shots and administering meds. I live with my husband Michael who is also an avid dog lover. Mike and I are in our EARLY senior years (I REALLY don't like saying that), so we have a lot of experience with all of our animals. In order to provide the best care possible, I would like to focus on dog sitting on weekends at my home for mid to large dogs(size only due to the playfulness of my 1 year old 'Banjo'). But, I will consider longer stays during the week on a case by case basis. I work in Mayfield village and would like to find a dog walking or pet visit job during the week day, at lunch time, in that area with up to 3 visits if needed before after work. I am willing to sit for dogs, with aggressive behavioral issues only after consultation, but at the clients home only. ( I will never subject my dogs to aggressive behavior). I rescued a very fear aggressive dog, Border Akita mix many years ago, that I had to learned to manage, train and earn his trust rather than turn him back in. He had been returned to the shelter by his previous owner. He became such a wonderful dog and loved pet but always had to be managed. That shows my love and dedication to our furry friends. I abide by all rules set by the clients and rover. Mike and I are very responsible doggy parents. We love our dogs like our own children. I know this is said alot... but I would wonder about those that would not say that. Words cannot express how much I (we) love all of Gods creatures and I (we) would take care of them like our own.

My wife and I have been boarding our dogs with Deb for several years now. As lifelong pet owners, we have used most boarding services in the greater Cleveland area before finding Deb. Simply put, Deb is the best caregiver we could possibly entrust our pets to! Deb truly loves our German Shepherd as one of her own and he has become quite attached to Deb, her family and her dogs. Her home and yard are the perfect home away from home for our dogs and Deb is extremely accommodating when it comes to specific feeding instructions, play habits, sleeping arrangements, etc. As frequent Rover users it is important to note how well-mannered both of Debs dogs are! We often joke that our pets come home with better habits than when we dropped them off. Her dogs Sarah and Banjo are both extremely well behaved, playful and perfect furry friends for our two dogs. It is extremely comforting to know that our dogs are in great hands when we leave them with Deb!
When u leave your dog with Deb they are in great hands. They will be pampered, loved and well cared for. The only thing you will have to worry about is if they will come home. Deb is the best when it comes to taking care of animals.
Deborah is a pure animal lover and any dog left in her care would be well cared for and spoiled. She is honest and trustworthy with a heart of gold.
I've had the pleasure of knowing Deb since elementary days & it's a well-known fact , amongst friends, that she's an avid animal lover! She's honest, trustworthy & very capable of caring for your pet with no worries for you. Only problem I can think of, is that your dog may not want to leave! Lol

I would like to know everything about your pet. Health, habits, temperment, likes and dislikes, favorite games, favorite treats, allergies, words that you use to communicate with them and so on. We want to make their visit to feel as close to home as possible! Also would like to know if they are being treated for flea/tick and heartworm. This way i can make sure that they are checked, brushed down and also in before the mosquitos come out at dusk if we are outside.
A typical day
On cooler days we like to take the dogs sometimes to best sands park or other parks. But, being we have ample running room to play, I prefer for safety reasons, and disease precautions to stay in our own yard. We play fetch, catch, hide it and more. We clean up doggie doo every day.:-)
