EXPERIENCED! ANIMALS LOVE ME & I LOVE THEM!

Pet care experience

Don't be nervous! I get MANY new clients that are nervous leaving their babies with a stranger. Some have never left them with anyone before. Let me ease your mind! They will be in loving and caring hands! I'm a huge animal lover! I do this full-time because I love working with animals.it is something that I'm natural good at, and have a lot of experience doing. I currently have a 4 year old Boston Terrier who is basically my child. Every doggie that stays with me, becomes another baby to me. Otto, gets along well with other dogs. He plays with dogs that like to play, or he leaves dogs alone that aren't as playful. I had a dog previous to him for 14 years, and I've always been the "go to" person to watch my friends doggies, because they know there isn't anyone else that will give them as much love and care. The same is true for my clients! I've become every dog's auntie Debbie, and they love coming over. And, as much as they are happy to see you when you return, most of them hate to leave. You will get photos every day, and even videos! Rover may indicate that I don't post many photos, but that's because I TEXT them directly to the clients phone, instead of using the site which is less convenient for travelers to access, and doesn't upload videos. I do have to add: I cannot handle extreme pullers if they weigh over 30 lbs, unless they come with an Easy Walk or other similar gear than tames their pulling. I also can't board anxiety barkers that have excessive barking. I live in an complex, so I need to be thoughtful of my neighbors, in order to continue dog sitting. About this sitter: I'm in a very convenient location in the wonderful Mt. Vernon neighborhood, very close to Penn Station. I'm a HUGE animal lover! I currently have a Boston Terrier, 4 years old. I had my previous dog for 14 years. I have been a constant dog sitter on Rover for a year and a half, but have experience sitting for many years prior to that. Every doggie that I look after becomes one of my babies! I become "auntie Debbie". I end up hating to see them leave, as much as they don't want to leave. I will care for dogs, cats, whatever type of animal you have. I love them all! I do have to add: I cannot handle extreme pullers if they weigh over 30 lbs, unless they come with an Easy Walk or other similar gear than tames their pulling. I also can't board excessive barkers or howlers. I live in an complex, so I need to be thoughtful of my neighbors, in order to continue dog sitting. Why I love dog sitting I have had always had a special connection with animals. By the time I was 19, I became a vegetarian because I love animals so much. I have a particular fondness for dogs because they are so interactive. I love spending time and bonding with every dog I meet. It's just my in my nature. Meet my pets Otto, 4 year old Boston Terrier. He is playful, but not insistent, so he is good companionship for all types of dogs. He is very experienced at helping me host dogs of all kinds. About my yard I don't have a yard. They will actually get taken for several walks each day within the neighborhood, and often to the dog park, weather permitting. We most often drive across town to the dog park in Patterson Park. Any dog park we go to is fenced and secure. We typically stay for a couple hours and they comes home exhausted and happy. My experience administering medication I am comfortable giving meds, with clear instructions.

PIease do not book with Deborah for the sake of your animal’s well-being and feel free to read on for a detailed horror story. I booked with her to check on my cat two times over Labor Day weekend. Normally my cat would be fine with some extra food but I wanted him to be given attention each day we were gone because our elderly cat had recently passed away and this was the first time he would be completely home alone. On the first day I did not hear from Deborah all day and then after 9pm I received a message that she had checked on my cat, but she had purposely left her phone at home “to charge” - I did not receive a rover card, photos, or information on how my cat was doing. I checked my security camera at the front door and Deborah had stayed for less than 12 minutes rather than the 30 minutes that I had booked her for. The next day I never heard from Deborah at all. When I returned home the following morning, the security alarm had not been turned on despite my instructions that she do so and the cat was roaming around downstairs because Deborah did not close the pet gate to keep him out of this area. My cat had no food or water because Deborah never arrived for the second visit. When I contacted her to ask that she return my key (which was supposed to be left on the final visit) she admitted that she had not come for the second visit. She never asked how my cat was or apologized however she did give me a lot of information on how she had been taking various medications. I found her response to be inappropriate and unprofessional. When I contacted Rover they responded very quickly and promptly provided me a full refund for the entire stay. I would not recommend Deborah to anyone as she clearly has some personal problems that prohibit her ability to properly care for animals.
