Pet care experience
I have owned and cared for pets my entire life. I'm recently retired from a long career as a professional equestrian and horse trainer, and I'm excited to begin this journey of offering pet care services to the community! I have experience with all types and ages of pets ... from very young to very senior. I have experience administering medications, giving injections, and basic first aid. My lifestyle is active, and I'm happy to provide whatever exercise that your pet needs, whether that is a long trail hike, or simply walks around the neighborhood. And lots of love and snuggles of course :) I also have extensive horse experience, and limited experience with other livestock, and I'm happy to provide services for those animals as well.

I have a very high energy 90lb, 3 year old male Rhodesian ridgeback dog who needs a ton of exercise, and an old man cat who needs medicine 2X/ day. Both of my animals adore Deb. I will want to know any special instructions you have for your pet(s) care and activities. Including feeding schedule, treat feeding, are they allowed on the furniture, length of time they can be left unattended/time between potty breaks, etc. Do they need special medications, and at what intervals? Where do they prefer to sleep? I will keep the pet’s routine as close as possible to what they are accustomed to!
A typical day
I typically like to get out for a long walk or hike first thing in the morning, but if that isn’t your dogs thing, I’m happy to tailor exercise or playtime to whatever your pet prefers!

Availability
I currently work from home and have an extremely flexible schedule, which allows me to work around whatever your pet care needs are. I have a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle, so I can get to some of the further out Nevada County destinations no problem.
