Doggy door to smaller fenced yard

Pet care experience

Nov 2020 Update: My backyard is now pretty small as I have an in-ground pool but there is still some room for running and play for smaller dogs. One section is just dirt right now from the construction but we are working on the landscaping. (Photos update to reflect current yard and show living room with playpen in place as foster babies here day of photos) Mar 2020 Update (still accurate): currently teleworking except maybe one day a week. My desk is in the living room where pups mostly stay (built in kennel below if needed as well as have a medium size kennel can use if you prefer kenneling. See photo where one shows both in the room) so I spend basically all day with the pups. This room has the slider door to the yard and the doggy door. I stick around the house doing projects with my partner in a very pet friendly environment during most holidays and weekends. I love sitting out back and the living room has a nice slider for watching the pups from inside or from the kitchen if they chose to go out the doggy door while I’m still inside. The backyard is smaller but the fence is newer and in great condition. You can be sure your pup is getting lots of love and attention. Weekdays I work 9-5 and can come home at lunch to check in pups. (See above edit!) My house has two living rooms, dining room, and kitchen where the pups have free access too. If accidents or marking are a concern, just warn me (there’s no carpet and couches are heavily scotch guarded) and I’ll just put up the baby gates so one of the living rooms is cut out so easier to keep a direct eye on pup for accidents. Pups probably won’t be in the bedrooms except to eat so I can do separated feedings to avoid any potential tensions. My pup sleeps in a bedroom at night, it is up to you if you want me to kennel yours at night or leave them loose to sleep on pup beds or the couch in the living room. I even removed my legs from one of the couches so it is easier for smaller or older ones to get up. Pups are always on the couch so if you prefer yours is not, I don't suggest booking with me. Also sometimes I take in temp fosters (always smaller pups and most often babies about two months old) who might be here as well.

Debe took great care of my Schnoodle, Barkley, who was totally spoiled by having her pups to play with and a doggy door, even! She was really good about sending updates, and I would definitely use her again.

Debe did great with my dog! Very good with communication and adapting. My doggie was a tough dog to watch and she did great with him! She clearly has a love of dogs! Would definitely recommend!!

Our dog's stay was amazing. Debe sent us updates each day and made sure that our dogs had plenty of fun. I would greatly recommend her to others and our babies can't wait to spend time with her again.

Smaller dogs would be better as my couch is only so big ;) if you don’t bring treats, can I feed them some of mine? Are carrots okay? My pup love them! I do need to know about any meds and if they are escape artist! If so, then I can break out the baby gates to slow the way to the front door. Rest assured though, I’ve figured out a way to stack them and make the gates stay for those athletic types!

A typical day

I have a doogy door so pups can run in and out at their own free will. If you have a young one not potty trained, this will help get them there but also while I keep a clean house, I won't stress over an accident (fake wood floors and Lysol wipes = quick clean up!) I have one pups of my own, a 8 yr old who is ready to play but gets temperamental and needs naps but I foster a lot of baby pups who all are little characters. Point being, I understand pups have different personalities and I'm ready to handle them all. We also have too many toys from destruction proof to soft one (although these are often missing the fluff!)
