Pet care experience
I’m a married 50 year old mom with two daughters aged 16 and 13. I have over 25 years of experience working in a school setting, and am now working part time. I have a 9 year old service dog who lives with us, and works with students at my school. I treat dogs as well as my own children, as I understand how much they are a part of your family. I’m responsible and will be as connected to you as you want- sending updates and pictures to ensure you feel confident that your pet is safe and happy.

Wonderful experience! Debby and her family did a great job watching Coco! She gave many updates and photos! We felt at peace on our vacation knowing Coco was staying in a safe, loving home! Debby took the time to meet with us in advance to discuss Coco’s needs, which was very important to us. I highly recommend Debby and will be using her services again in the future.
Debby is AWESOME!!! She adopted our Ollie into her family for 4 days!!! She gave me regular updates & was super flexible & accomodating!! I knew Ollie had a GREAT visit because as I picked him up he walked back over to Debby without prompting to receive one last pet on the head. Debby deserves at least 10 stars!!!! We will definitely stay with her again!!!

I have a 9 year old golden/lab cross. He is a neutered male and was trained by an organization as a service dog. He comes to work with me to work with students. We often watch other service dogs through this same organization, so I do have experience caring for other pets. We have a kennel in our home that we can use, if needed. While our dog loves other dogs, it would be important that your pet is not aggressive. I have zero concerns that our dog would ever be aggressive. We do not feed our dog anything other than two meals per day, as he is on a strict diet. Water is always out. We would follow all food directions you provide for your pet. Our pet is treated like a human, so no furniture is off limits and pet hair is just part of our lives.

As I’ve stated previously in my profile, it would be important to us that your dog not show any aggression towards other dogs. I can guarantee that our dog will get along just fine with your animal, so I just need to know the same about your dog. I want your dog to be as comfortable as possible, so I’ll ask where they like to sleep (in bed, kennel, couch, floor, etc…..) I’ll also want to know if your dog can be trusted not to chew things they shouldn’t or if they have accidents in the home. I can work around those things, but would want to know upfront so I can be sure to set them up for success in our home.
A typical day
We have a large backyard that is completely fenced. This is a great spot for the dogs to get lots of their energy out. We like to play fetch or take walks in our neighborhood.

Availability
My husband works from home, and I’m currently working part time. We are up by 6 every morning. I’m primarily trying this on the weekends to start, however depending on your situation, the weekdays could work as well.
