Reliable/Experienced foster/I Love Dogs! I was raised by a Dachshund from the time I was 2 yrs old (who lived to be 18 yrs). When I turned 13 I was allowed to get my own a puppy for my birthday :) Who was a terrier mutt that picked me. Boy did we learn together from a blown out knee to living with Addison's disease and the odd seizure for 12 yrs but lived to be 15 yrs. Jake was the dogs that picked my son for his 13th Birthday. Although he loved to run and play he was never know to be very social with others. When Jake was around 7 years old he has bad knees, arthritis and had an operation for the "ole man lumps" once he was healed up I decided to start fostering and see if we could get Jake to pick a puppy. Well in 2015 we took on our 1st foster (bigger and a bit older then I first expected) she was 10 months old about 50 lbs and CRAZY happy wanting to play all the time and although she annoyed Jake (running at him, barking to play, poking his bum, bouncy off the couch!) He was playing with her. She had gotten her way and Jersey was home to stay. Once we got her settled with some house rules and getting use to strangers we continued to foster (Jersey needs dogs to play with Jake not so much but as long as they learn to respect he doesn't seem to mind all that much) I have now fostered over 25 pups and still going. Ages ranging from 5 weeks to 6 months. Some often come over for play dates/visits/sleepovers or we go on dog park adventures with.

Our dog Charlie loves to visit and stay at Deb’s place with her two dogs Jersey and Jake! Deb has been nothing less than amazing as our pet sitter. She takes our dog out for walks, play dates, and at the same time helps with obedience. She also sent me pictures and videos to keep me posted on Charlie. Debs knowledge, care, and love for dogs makes her the best sitter we’ve used. I highly recommend!
I got to know Debbie thru Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue. She is one of our best fosters. She has always provided a loving, safe and fun foster home for every dog she has fostered. She has her own dogs Jake and Jersey who’s needs are always looked after 100%. Her dogs and the dogs she fosters are family! Debbie is a reliable and trustworthy person. I would have no qualms leaving my own dogs with her. I can only imagine happy dog parents and happy dogs!

Likes, Dislikes, Quarky issues, allergy's but also very important to me is...Due to my status as a current foster IF there will be interaction at my home or with my animals (or animals in my care) I will require proof of the Following...Rabies for over 3 months old, 3 shots by 14 weeks for parvo/distemper and should be on heart guard during summer months and dewormed. To ensure everyone's safety. This could hopefully lead to home visits (play dates) and or overnight stays. I have a variety of dogs in my life for fun play and socializing, but we would need to meet and ensure compatibility. Also my side fence is only 4 ft high so would need to know if they're are any escape artists types.
A typical day
Depends on the dogs, could be 20-30 mins walk down the street or possible dog park with my more social dog. If the dog has a favorite activity like fetch, playing with toys or a snuggle on the couch with favorite tv show...maybe it's and older pup that needs a good message.
