Does your pup love to wrestle on the floor, romp in the yard, and play fetch and tug o war? Or is he/she a calm gentle soul who would rather just cuddle on the sofa or go for a quiet walk in the park? We will love them and treat them as our own while you are away. We will do our very best to follow your rules and your schedule. We will do our best to fully meet your dogs special needs and will match your schedule and routine as closely as possible. As a life-long “dog person, ” I and have experience with dogs of all ages from pups to seniors. This has included work with special needs such as anxiety, seizures, blindness, etc… Your pups can sleep in the bedroom, on the floor, or on the bed. I am also comfortable with kenneling at night or when unsupervised if that is a part of your routine. The back yard is fully fenced with room to romp. The fence is 6 foot high chain link as well as wood slat with no gaps. The front yard is also fully fenced with porch and patio. However, the front fence is about 3 foot high and this area is used more for small or elderly dogs. The back can be accessed via a doggy door that can be closed or open per your request. Having had the pleasure of caring for a variety of breeds from toy breeds to Greyhounds, any breed will be welcome in our home. On days when Pampered Pouches is open, someone is home all of the time. Any anticipated unsupervised time would be discussed before the stay. If this is the case, they can be free to roam or crated according to your instructions. Joxer, our resident super-senior pup is extremely mellow and very good with other dogs. He is about 15, slowing down but full of love. Abby also a senior but only 13, has bursts of high energy but more often than not, can be found sitting in the recliner or on the sofa just chillin'. But when we have a high energy guest dog, Abby can play and chase with the best of 'em.. I prefer an in-person meet and greet to make sure I can meet your dogs needs. If that is not possible, I would like to at least have an opportunity to discuss your pups personality, schedule, and any special needs and allow you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have. We want things to go smoothly, and have no surprises when you arrive. I look forward to meeting you and loving on your pups. I am sure they will enjoy their stay here
