Please note, I do not go to Camp Pendleton 🙁 My hours of availability are ideally 1p to 4p so I can walk my own dog and take care of my family (read make dinner). For 1 or 2 days I can make an exception. I can administer oral medication to dogs but I am not skilled at doing cats. At this time I am unable to accept every day assignments, just vacations and day trips. I will do drop-ins with 15 to 20 minute walks. If you are looking for someone to exercise your dog with a 30 minute power walk I am at my limit, sorry! I love dogs and cats and love making new doggy and kitty friends. I volunteered at Rancho Coastal Humane Society for 11 years from 2007 to 2018. Our family always had at least one dog and I was lucky enough to grow up with my very own cat who was my best friend. While your dog or cat is in my care I will be focused solely on them. I am insured through PCI, Pet Care Insurance. I am ultra-reliable and am available 7 days a week and holidays. To keep my costs down, I try to limit my travel distance to 5 miles one way. Last minute cancellations are no problem for me, my cancellation policy is flexible meaning you will get a full refund up to the day of the booking. EXPERIENCE I joined rover in February 2019. Besides always having my own dogs and cats, I volunteered at Rancho Coastal Humane Society from 2007 to 2018 as a dog companion. After early retirement in 2013, I was able to go 2 days a week! I took their dog training/behavior classes rising to Level 3 which allowed me to work with any shelter dog. Twice a week I attended "Pawsitive Practices" Training classes where certified trainer Sarah Surritt of Get Pawsitive Dog Training and/or Patti O'Farrell of Canine Kids worked with us volunteers to train the shelter dogs. We learned positive training techniques, how to read body language and interact with all kinds of dogs. If desired I can play many training games with your dog!
