Pet care experience
I have been caring for pets since I was in high school, and have been on Rover since 2015. I worked for many years at a dog daycare and boarding facility and eventually managed the business. I also worked briefly for a veterinarian's office and have experience with basic dog grooming. I am able to administer medications, break up altercations, and safely handle all shapes, temperaments, and sizes of dogs. I will also care for other pets, such as cats, birds, rodents, and reptiles.

I no longer accept boarding in my own home. If you need boarding in your home, my own dogs will be cared for by my husband, so I will be free to give my undivided attention to your pets. For check in visits and dog walking, I am very experienced with leash handling and have never lost control of a dog. I have handled dogs with extreme reactivity, high prey drives, and just poor leash manners.

I prefer to know if your pet is on any medications, has any behavioral issues, and how often they are normally let outdoors. Quirks and house rules are always appreciated as well.
A typical day
I am willing to work however the owner prefers. I am more of a laid back care taker. Your animals have a set way of doing things already and I don't like disrupting their day to day habits. I love exercise and long walks. I have worked well with very young energetic animals, old disabled animals, and just about everything in between. Tell me what works best for your pet, and I will happily oblige.

My schedule is very open. I do not work a full time job, but I am in school at the moment. I only take about 3 classes at a time, so I have plenty of time to give your pets all the attention they need.
