Pet care experience
I have done pet sitting off and on for 15+ years. I love animals, and have taken care of dogs, cats, horses, and many other animals. Dogs- I can adapt to your preferences on feeding, medications, and training. Easy peasy check-in? I’m your gal. I have beginner level experience in training, and am open to whatever methods you are currently working with, if any. I am comfortable taking dogs for walks, including puppies and medium/large breed dogs. Cats- I have always had a cat or two and love their individuality. (Don’t tell the dogs, but I am totally a cat person!). :) I’ll also alternate lights (nightly), water a few plants, or pick up your mail if needed during extended length visits.

Deanna was great! We loved seeing photos after each visit, and it was obvious by the behavior displayed in the pictures that our cats were comfortable around Deanna. We came home to happy cats and everything was in good order. I hope we can work with Deanna again in the future.

Surrounding circumstances resulted in cancelling our day trip and the dog sitting appointment with Deanna. However! We are giving her high marks for the pleasant meet & greet we enjoyed with her (she and our dog hit it off immediately) and for her responsiveness, flexibility, and willingness to roll with our scheduling issues.
We were so pleased with everything. Deanna, communicated with us throughout her stay. We appreciate this and allowed us to enjoy our time away. Wonderful person!

For any animal, I encourage the owner to provide information on the animal’s temperament in their home, new environments, and how they react to new people. I also would like to know if there is any stimulus that elicits a negative response, so we can avoid this stress on the animal, if possible.
A typical day
Typical check-ins include feeding, interaction, and snuggle time! For dogs I’ll take them outside to play, and to potty. With cats, visits usually include a snuggle on the couch and a rub under the chin.

Availability
I currently work varying days of the week. I have some flexibility with scheduling, and can usually work something out if drop in times can be flexible. Most commonly, I do feeding/checkin visits between 1-3 days. I can do as long as 2 weeks if they are just feedings/check ins and near to Mesilla. Overnights are a bit harder for me to accommodate, but I am always willing to try to make my availability work for you.
