Pet care experience
I work from home and have a flexible schedule. About me: I fell victim to the quarantine puppy and took the plunge into dog ownership during covid when I began working remotely full time 🐶 I have a Husky/German Shepard mix named Atlas. Being the breed of dog he is, I took training very seriously - so, I am well versed on obedience and behavior and have many training techniques up my sleeve... From potty training to reactivity and pulling on walks, I can handle it! (NOTE: I am not a dog trainer, just experienced through practice.) I also have a senior citizen kitty (she's 16 years old) who minds her business while reigning queen of the household. As with any dog/cat owner, I've been through it all: quirks, accidents, minor injuries, resource guarding, conflicts at the dog park, separation anxiety, etc.

Deanna was nothing but kind and super flexible when we needed a last minute pet sitter/check ins for our cat Mac. She checked on him, fed him, played with him, made sure he had water, and even scooped his nasty litter box! She was extremely flexible when we had to be out of range the first couple of days of our trip. I loved all the videos and pictures she shared of him too. Thank you so much Deanna for your services! She will be my number one choice for anytime I need a babysitter for my dog and or cat!
Deanna was so so kind not only with our dog but all of our plan changes and was so accommodating with the times and days we ended up needing. She sent so many photos and videos of our dog playing with her sweet dog Atlas and they definitely had a blast.
Deanna was amazing! She took care of Cooper and Pudge while I was on vacation and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with her. She was super professional and sent a ton of videos and pictures over. She even went out of her way to get my dog food when he ran out! I knew my babies were in good hands with her. I can’t recommend her enough. I will definitely be using her in the future.

In your home: I treat your place like my place. I will follow your rules. If you don't allow shoes on, I'll gladly take them off. No pets on the furniture, no problem! I will pick up any messes your pet might make and happily foresee potentially hazardous situations (fallen plants, chewed up stuffed toys, open doors to forbidden rooms, etc.) In my home: your dog would feel at home with me. We have lots of toys and treats! I live in a dog friendly community with easy access to walking trails and parks. Dogs have free roam of my space, including our small fenced in terrace. My pup would be SO THRILLED to keep your dog company while you're away!

Please let me know of any quirks or personality traits. My pup is pretty stubborn and def has an attitude problem - things like this are helpful to know. Dogs must be potty trained and crate trained for boarding. Generally speaking, I do not let other people's dog off leash unless we rent a private, fenced backyard on Sniffspot.
A typical day
Depending on how your dog is with other pets and people, we like to go to comfortable places. I am happy to adjust our routine to suit the needs of other animals... we like to hike, people-watch, and enjoy dog-friendly patios for happy hour. In the summer, we like to go to the beach to run, swim, and dig holes. And in the winter, we LOVE to play in the snow!

Availability
Atlas needs lots of exercise and constant mental stimulation so we frequently take walks along the Colombia River, play games like "find it," and fetch. On the weekend, we like to hike nearby trails, go swimming at the beach, and explore nature parks. Atlas LOVES company. He is obsessed with other dogs so the reason I'm here is so my pup can make friends with all the other dogs in the neighborhood...
