Pet care experience
Our family and I have lived with and cared for cats and dogs for most of our lives. We raised a beautiful pit bull rescue for 14 years and we have recently found ourselves pet free for the first time in a very long time! We are comfortable and can accommodate pups of all sizes, from small dogs, puppies, elderly dogs and larger breeds.

Once again, we couldn’t be happier that our puppy, Lucy, was able to stay with Dawn and her family while we were out of town! We love that Lucy is not only so well cared for, but also gets to socialize with Dawn’s younger kids, their friends, and other dogs throughout her stay (we love getting photos and updates!) Dawn has been great with my puppy. She is very responsive and accommodating. She frequently takes my puppy out and takes the time to use positive reinforcement for good behavior with treats. Her daughters are also good with the puppy which helps with her socialization. I would highly recommend Dawn for caring for your pet.

Our home is well suited for pets and have food and water bowls, dog treats, a dog crate (available if needed), washed and sterilized toys and 2 dog clean dog beds for your pup to choose between. Dogs are welcome to sleep wherever they are most comfortable, whether it be a common area, or in a bedroom.

Let me know if your dog has a routine I should adhere to to any special needs or behaviors that should be considered. We have 2 pet loving children who adore animals. If your pet does not play well with children or is aggressive, please consider another host.
A typical day
Our neighborhood offers lots of places to walk - up hills, down hills, all around! Our fully fenced in backyard makes it easy to throw a ball or a frisbee around or just run back and forth and get some exercise in! The kids get home from school around 3pm so after that, there will be LOTS of "kid attention" and lots of energy will be spent!

Availability
My career allows me to work from home so I am available to provide attention, potty breaks, and companionship to pets in my home M-F. We live in a neighborhood and walks can easily fit into the schedule, along with playtime in our fully fenced in backyard.
