ABOUT ME: I've had a strong connection with animals since I was a toddler. I was the main caretaker of 6 Rottweilers (100-160Ibs) throughout the years within my own family. As an adult , I've independently rescued/rehabilitated several dogs in California and Costa Rica. I've also volunteered at several shelters, farm sanctuaries, animal welfare organizations, mobile adoptions, and started my own offleash group dog hiking/sitting business 2017 in Oakland called Mut Struts. However, a little after Covid hit I left Oakland. But back to the timeline, in high school and at SFSU I founded "Voices for Animals", a student based animal welfare group. Additionally, I've continued lobbying for legislation supporting animals rights, protesting, tabling, flyering, and helping animals hands on. I love animals and they truly do make me happy.

Our big pup had a wonderful time with Dawn. We hope to use her again in the future. I would highly recommend her for dog sitting!
Last minute need for a dog sitter for my two labs. Dawn was available and very accommodating. Dogs were well cared for and felt right at home. Her place is off of hwy 17 but easy to reach once you know where you are going!
Dawn is wonderful. So friendly and personable and clearly has a good way with dogs. I will definitely be using her services again. :)
Dawn was amazing! We left our pup with her and he didn't want to come home. He had a blast playing in the creek and hiking with Dawn. I will definitely be booking with her again!

I have a spacious flat in the hills of Los Gatos with trails, a creek, and reservoir nearby. The yard is huge! I do have a fragile 14yr old so large dogs that jump on others won’t be a good fit. More pics, videos, reviews on the Mut Struts FB page!
Information Dawn L. would like to know about your pet
Unfortunately I cannot take aggressive dogs as I have a very sweet and affectionate foster dog currently. Also can only take potty trained pets because I’m a renter and have carpet.
A typical day
I loooove the outdoors! Walks, hikes, cuddles, sunbathing are a few of my favorite activities. I am open to any other activities the dog specifically enjoys doing.

Availability
I have an awesome foster dog currently. I leave the door open to the deck for them to go in and out when I’m at work. Then walks when I return and freeplay in the yard various times of the day.
