Pet care experience
I am a Florida raised, Alaskan woman that loves my amazing dog Grace and my two beautiful and talented two-legged children, ages 13and 15. I am a mom, and a school guidance counselor, and we live in Clearwater near 19 and Drew Street. Our family has cared for many dogs over the 29 years I have lived in Alaska and relocated back to Florida in August 2017. We enjoy having fun, work hard and play even harder, but respect and value the importance of mannered dogs and their well-behaved human parents. Grace is a trained and high functioning service dog with 3.5 years of training, so she will be working alongside me. We have a dog park at our apartment complex and would be happy to love and care for your dog as part of our extended friends/family. We can care for the dog in your home or at ours.

We usually board our pups in a kennel when we travel. We hated doing this especially when we had to be gone for more than a few days. However the thought of having someone come into our home to care for our pups was scary as well. After doing some research and getting several recommendations about Dawns services, we decided to give it and her a try. The convenience of having our pups stay at home is wonderful. They are more comfortable and our hearts feel better when we have to leave them for any period of time. Dawn has provided care, play time, love and affection beyond what we have asked. We feel very comfortable having Dawn enter our home while we are gone. We highly recommend her!!

I would like to know the dogs temperament, their strengths, their areas for improvement. I would like to know what they like to do, where they like to go, even favorite things to do at home. Do they have any fears, anxiety, aggressive tendencies, triggers, and pretty much anything that would be important to know, so that I can provide the best care possible.
A typical day
Well it depends on the dog[s] I am spending time with, we will go to their favorite spots, their yard, the beach, the park, the neighborhood, for a bike ride in my bike carrier if that is their preference. We can sit and relax together, play ball, play fetch, Frisbee, doggie play dates or just enjoy being ourselves.
