Pet care experience
We have owned 6 dogs over the last 35 years (2 german short-haired pointers, 1 wire-haired pointer, 2 golden retrievers, and 1 chocolate lab. Two of our dogs were raised from puppies, and three of them adopted us as rescues. I've cared for 10 cats over my lifetime with the last two being "old dears" who were unwanted rescues. My passion is caring for dogs. I have taken two of my dogs to obedience class which they both passed with flying colours. I have taken dogs into nursing homes for companionship. I recognize health issues promptly and benefit from having a Vet in the immediate family. Would be happy to set up an initial Meet and Greet with your pet in order to initiate a boarding.

As usual, Wally's visit to Dawn and Andy's was fantastic. He loves going, as he gets pampered and lots of walks. When Wally is with Dawn I can completely relax and not have to worry about him. I trust them completely and am so grateful to have them in our lives.
We are so grateful for Dawn & Andy and their amazing care of our two ‘slightly’ high maintenance pups last week lol. They kept us updated regularly and assured us that they were settled in to their routines and managing nicely. We are so thankful to have found caring people to take care of them while we are away. Highly recommend!

Was very comfortable leaving my golden doodle Wallie with Dawn and Andy! They were very good about sending pictures and up-dates of Wallie's activities. Looked like he had a very enjoyable time with them. Thank you for keeping him safe and happy!!

We have a fenced yard, and we only take one pet at a time unless two pets are arriving from the same family. If stairs are a problem we can accommodate a pet on the ground floor.

We have a long list of questions that we will ask about your pet when we Meet and Greet at the local park. We try to make each visit as enjoyable and comfortable as possible for your pet.
A typical day
We always enjoy 4 walks a day. We also respect the idea of keeping other dogs away from our dogs being cared for. We don't go to off-leash parks and we never leave dogs unsupervised in the backyard.

Availability
We live in a house and one of us is usually at home to meet the needs of your pet. One of us is retired and the other semi-retired. There are no other pets or children living in our home.
