Pet care experience
My past experiences is with my two lovely dogs everyday I wake up. I have a golden retriever Name Bear who needs much love since they are very sensitive and also emotional type of dogs. Also I have my Yorkie Layla who is a feisty but very loving kind of dog. I come from a military home, My dad is a chaplain here on Ft. Sam Houston and my mother is also a VA chaplain here in San Antonio as well. My parents have 7 kids together so i come from a big home environment. I know how to handle a lot of personalities and also know how to adapt to all types of cultures being a traveler due to the military. Also I am an ex collegiate football player for The university of the Incarnate Word here in town. I know what it takes in order to care for dogs and I also know how to discipline dogs in order for them to be train as well. I believe dogs are like your kids. If you create that bond with them then they will be in tuned with your voice and they will know you and vice versa. I would love to be able to take care of families homes by watching there pets when they cannot, but also i would love to connect and be able to make an impact on homes in the midst of me watching there pets. I would love to know the name of the pet first then I would love to know what triggers the pet to be mad and what triggers the pet to be happy. Also a big part of the watching a pet that is not yours is you have to know if they are allergic to anything and also what is the schedule that the pet owner keep them on.
A typical day
The walk that we will go on all depends on the style of the dog. If the dog is a more calm and relax type of pet then we will generally take walks in the neighborhood to get some exercise then go back home and play around and enjoy each other company. As far as an active dog who has a lot of energy we will go on adventurous trips such as hiking and running and whatever else that the owner of the pet feels comfortable with me doing with there pet. what ever the pet owner allows me to do i will do and whatever they don't then I will respect each home instructions. However, with me getting to build a relationship and building trust will allow me to do more with the owners pets.
