From the moment he could talk, Davis always preferred the dogs in a room over the people. And let me be clear...Davis is able to charm an entire room with his low-key, considerate personality. But he's always a little more at peace when there is a dog around. Davis is the sort of old soul who doesn't just pet the dog and call it even. He pays attention to the dog. I'm so confident in his abilities that he is my dog sitter. Because my dog is a little more anxious than some, Davis takes on the extra commitment of staying at the house, giving into Velcro dog tendencies and exercising her. He does this all responsibly and respectfully for both me and my dog. Davis sent me daily updates as I was on vacation. I can't tell you what that meant to me. My best testimony is this: My family returned only a little bit early from our last vacation. Our dog, Charlie, was not home. I was not worried and my daughters, who have grown up with Davis as an example, were certain Charlie was with Davis on some sort of adventure. Ten minutes later, a very tired hound dog came home with a smile so wide you could tell she'd had a wonderful day. They had spent the day walking around Minnehaha Park. I'm not fluent in dog language but as Davis left the yard, I'm pretty sure I heard Charlie asking to go with him. That's the sign of a great dog sitter. (Also, Davis did the dishes I didn't get to before the trip. Honestly. He's outstanding.)
