I know this from my dogs, past and present: each has their own personality, and like people it often takes a while to get to know them. Once you find that level of mutual respect, you and the dog begin to understand each other. Every owner wants a sitter who understands the bond between them and their dog. Anything less, you simply have a individual who lacks understanding, who lacks the concept of a bond between an owner and their dog. No dog is simply a dog. If you are like me, you will protect your dog to the same degree that your dog will protect you.
