I previously walked dogs for other residents in Chelsea and DUMBO when I was a Manny. I used to go on runs and walks and spend time at Chelsea Piers, Madison Square, or the dog parks in DUMBO. On occasion, I was able to take them to Ft Tilden to run on the beach. One of the regular dogs was deaf, two were seniors and slow walkers that often required encouragement (not tugging!), and one required running. I primarily have experience with small to medium breeds, but have watched some gigantic size dogs as well. Now I'm back in a traditional work setting after finishing my MSW and gaining licensure. I know how to keep a dog on a short lease for safety. I never tug. I'll run to help tire them out or walk slowly as they make there mark. Your preference. I was raised with dogs but current apartment doesn't allow it. So looking to help your family out while also getting to walk your dog. I don't think my cats are receptive to walks. I'm in Rego Park and available on weekends and flexible on weekdays. Regular job is 9-5 but I have an hour lunch to walk your doggo or can do early AM/after 5 pm.
