Training and Exercise

Pet care experience

Love. Exercise. Positive reinforcement. These are the pillars of my dog care. First I create a bond with the dog. Next I give the dog exercise. And lastly I train and reward good behavior. I’ve had some spectacular results!

Dave is the best dog sitter! He takes my husky pit mix on hiking adventures for hours. My dog is happy and well exercised when Dave watches him. In addition, Dave is reliable and dependable, also trustworthy!

I highly recommend David. I trusted him with my dog since day 1, I know she is in good hands. I am happy to have found a great person who understands and loves her.

David is a lover of all dogs!!! He is kind, compassionate, and loving toward animals. He has walked and loved our black lab, Reeyce! She adores him! Whenever she sees him she immediately starts a tail wagging and is jumping with excitement!!! Any dog that gets a walk from Dave is a lucky dog!!! Dave is responsible and also very fit… so your dogs will get a good walk/run so they will be very tired when they return home!!!

Information David R. would like to know about your pet

I have no preference for breeds and feel strongly that with routine and consistency I can bring out the best in a dog. That said, I do research depending on the breed to anticipate behaviors and to come up with the best plan for care.

A typical day

I start every session with a welcome and bonding period. This involves a respectful greeting and petting. After the introduction we go for a hike. During the hike I use trainers (lil treats) to reward good behavior. I focus on making sure the dog doesn’t pull, and the dog is focused on demands such as stay, sit, come, down, off, roll-over, up, and more!
