Reliable Helper to "Best Friend"
Pet care experience
I have, all my life, cared for dogs and cats. I currently own three cats and I regularly care for neighbors pets. Both dogs and cats and birds. I cover the needs of their pets be it just for an afternoon or much longer, given the circumstances. I feel that pets provide so much to a person's life in so many ways that it is just natural for me to return, as much care and affection to them as possible. I work in stained glass and have a flexible schedule. I have also allowed many dogs and cats over the years to have access to me when I am at work in my shop. Companionship is a two-way street and sharing is essential in having a pet trust you. Trust is the key to a successful relationship with our animal friends. Being observant, reliable, compassionate is also required.

Dear Rover.com, I want to give a positive referral for David M. for pet sitting/walking/care. David is my neighbor and has professionally cared for several of my pets over the last 10 years. He does dog walking and all of my dogs have been eager to greet him at the door. My current dog is a very shy rescue that became good friends with David in a very short time. Several cats and two birds have benefitted from him coming to give them daily care over the years. It is comforting to know my pet family feel comfortable in David's care. Hello friends at Rover.com! I wanted to share what a treasure David M. is! He has an absolute heart of gold. His patience and kindness is the kind of quality you rarely see- that’s why he’s a gem to find! I’ve known David for almost 30 years professionally and personally. He’s had cats and dogs throughout his life, and has taken care of other pets for neighbors and family. He has been known to rescue feral cats, have them neutered and vaccinated at the vet’s office, and have found them homes. He is so gentle and kind, trustworthy and dependable that his neighborhood knows they can count on him to tend to their pets, or house sit. Some have even made him an extra key to their house, because David’s just that solid of a person! He is dependable, and is incredible with animals. David McArthur is a keeper!
