I CARE for your pet, not watch them

Pet care experience

If you can find someone that will take better care of your pet better than I do, USE THEM. I do not do this just for the money, I do it because I love animals. I currently have a website that is only a pet care site and I'm very popular in my area with many returning clients due to the care I provide. With that being said, on my site I'm a little different in my pricing since everyone's situation is not the same and I'm very willing to negotiate the cost of my services, but on here please understand that an overnight stay is more expensive than on my site and I try and run off a 24 hour timeframe. If you drop your dog off at 9am and pick them up at 9am the next morning that's one day. If you would like me to care for your pet I would like to make sure we both agree on the price as to many times I've cared for a pet for less than a $1 an hour due to the way appointments are made here. I'm sorry I had to say that but I've been taken advantage of to many times on here. When I care for your pet I'm with them 24 hours a day, where I go, they go. If where I need to go doesn't allow pets, I don't go. I'm a legitimate 24 hour care giver and I try to entertain your pet or I want them to know I'm here for "them" while you are away so they feel more comfortable with you being going. If they want to play we play, if they want to walk we walk, if they want to sit out on the patio and people watch, we do that to. So why do I love animals, it's pretty simple, they don't talk back (usually) lol. I was privileged enough early in my life where my parents owned a farm and a home in the city, most every weekend we would be out at the farm, farming, lol. We had the normal critters and livestock, cats, ducks, geese, dogs, rabbits, horses, cattle, pigs, you get the gist of it. In my eyes, pets of all kind are family and when I own dogs they have the run of the house. At my home I attempt to make it as if they would feel comfortable in their surroundings. How do they get exercise, it's simple, depending on the dog, I usually will walk smaller dogs just down the the dog area at the end of my street, for larger or more excitable/hyper dogs, it's a whole another story as depending on the weather, I will walk them numerous times throughout the day and I typically will go 5 - 7 miles a day. Except for short potty breaks, I normally will take them for walks near where I live and there are plenty of parks nearby or just walking trails to keep them curious. I live in a very nice secure building, my apartment is 900 sq ft and my floors are concrete (it's a refurbished auto dealership and they wanted to keep the ambiance) so no worries about cleaning up accidents, the floors are cool year round and dogs just love them. I have a patio that allows both of us to sit outside and people watch, and yes I even do it during the winter when it's cold. Enough said, I could go on all day, suffice to say, I'm an animal lover.

David is amazing! I had to work super early in the morning and David really saved me when he was able to watch my dog at such an early hour in the morning when no one else could. When I picked him up I could tell Finley had SO much fun and I got pictures and videos throughout the day❤️

What a great first sitting experience for Rickey! David is wonderful with pets and I could tell right away that he truly just loves to be around dogs. Rickey is shy and timid but he helped her to come out of her shell more by taking her everywhere with him. He was responsive and knowledgeable on care, sent many pictures/videos, and didn’t get upset at all when she had some accidents in his apartment. She got many walks and was spoiled as heck when she came home! I’m very grateful to have found David to take care of Rickey for a few days!

David did a wonderful job with Bronx. He took him for long walks and really cared for him. He actually went over and beyond.

I am not a fan of kennels/crates, I will allow them if the owner insists, but the pets have free run of my apartment and can do whatever they like, within reason of course, tearing my couch up and pillow fights are two off the top of my head I don't allow.

Information David H. would like to know about your pet

I like to know what kind of walker they are on a leash, as in do they pull, do they like to be on one side of you, do they like to lead or be next or behind you. I don't care what kind of breed they are, I'll even watch pit bulls in my city although they are not allowed. If asked by anyone I'd just say it's a mixed breed and I don't have any other information but that's never happened to me in my lifetime and it's been a pretty long lifetime so far.

A typical day

I'm a hands on, everything goes kind of person. I used to play tug of war with dogs with my own teeth from time to time. I will take them to a park and play fetch with them, walking is a must so we do lots of that, nap times are sometimes are good for both of us, normally more for the dog then me since I consider that my down time and can do things while they sleep. I take them with me inside stores, my bank, about everywhere I go the pet goes, if I can't take the pet in with me then I don't go.
