David has been looking after dogs for over 20 years, providing the highest standard of safety and happiness for your best friend. Between 2015 and 2019 David boarded many happy, healthy dogs in his own home in North Carolina; providing walking, bathing and home-stays through Rover.com. Now in Tennessee and, with over 80 5-Star reviews, David is able to provide the same outstanding care for your dogs as he did for our many repeat clients in NC. David, who works full time from home, provides; daily play, walking, socializing, medication and exercise for pooches in his home with a fully fenced-in back yard. David also provides over-night and long term stay service - this can also be in your own home so your dog never needs to suffer the anxiety of staying away from their comfort zone. Even if you have multiple dogs, David is able to quickly and safely establish himself as the new pack leader and is conscious to give each of your pets one-on-one attention to maintain a well socialized, playful pack. OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU AND YOUR PETS. --We WILL provided you with photographs and updates during the time we are with your pet, --We WILL provide a fun, friendly, healthy and safe time for your best friend, allowing you to spend time away from your best friend worry-free. --We will never walk your dog without the lead or harness that you supply. If you do not have a lead, we will use one of ours. This is not negotiable. --We will only take your dog to a dog park if you specifically request this service (there may be an additional cost if we take your dog(s) in our vehicle) --We will never give your dog treats that have not been approved by you first (-dogs have food allergies too.) -- We will never leave your dogs outside unsupervised. Our large fenced in back yard has anti-dig panels but your dog will still always be supervised at play. --We will never give your dog human food. EVER. --We WILL treat your pet with the same care, attention and affection as if it were our own. David is also an experienced farm sitter and has learned a lot about dogs from working with goats, pigs, sheep, cows, horses, chickens and ducks - and on one occasion, a llama.

This review is long overdue!! I apologize to David and Kelly for the delay! As always, David and Kelly went way, way beyond the call of duty. They showered Coco with love and hugs, took her on daily walks, and gave her a wonderful wash-and-brush-up, complete with mani-pedi. (Well, no nail polish, but a very nice trim.) Coco loves them. It's her home away from home. ALL of Coco's stays with David and Kelly have been stellar -- whether daycare/grooming or overnight/boarding. They are the absolute BEST, and I cannot recommend them highly enough!
We always feel comfortable leaving our doggies here. They actually get excited when we drop them off, running up to his house and always seem excited to see him. He is very knowledgeable about dogs and their behaviors in general. Also, he is very flexible with us and our travel schedules, which is greatly appreciated.
Another great stay at David’s! This time, we had a bit of car trouble that had us getting home a good bit later than expected, but they were very understanding. One of dogs wanted to stay even longer this time. We had to pick her up and take her to our car! Thanks again for the great service!
It’s so comforting to have an ongoing relationship with David and his wife for when we travel. There’s no worries about what to do with our dogs, and no worries about how they’ll be taken care of. Using the rover app to book is very easy, and I’ll continue to ask David to watch our dogs into the future.

I work from home and am able to provide constant supervision and attention for your pet. Pooches can be walked on a lead, if that is what they are used to, or allowed to exercise and play freely (but never unsupervised) in my large back yard as many times a day as the dog requires. Fresh, clean water will always be available. For the safety of all dogs in our care, your dog will be fed individually and away from any other dogs to minimize any potential food aggression issues.

David is able to provide sitting and walking services for all breeds of dog. However, we reserve the right to cancel any activity at any time if your dog shows signs of aggression towards us or other animals.
A typical day
We are happy to walk your dog on a route that you prescribe, on their favorite walk, or anywhere you suggest; e.g. that park on the corner that you always want to take him to but never find the time. :) We will also play your dogs favorite games, with their favorite toy. Yes, we will throw the ball again. And again. And again. ... :)
