Playful and Professional
Pet care experience
I've been an amateur animal/house sitter for the past few years and just recently got the recommendation from a fellow Rover walker to seek out becoming more professional. I'm an animal lover and have been looking for a way to continue to stay active and increase my knowledge about these amazing creatures we keep as pets. I have owned three dogs in my lifetime and have grown up with and taught many more. Since a close family member is allergic to dog/cat dander, I have had to go without having a pet for a little while, but always seek out ways to help our four legged friends whenever I can. I do my best to help the animal learn as much as I can teach them with a complete positive reinforcement based training. I'm also a group fitness instructor so I relish the opportunity to run or jog with a pet partner! I believe a pet's happiness starts in a fun and safe environment, so I also include light cleaning when it comes to overnight/weekend stays.
Reviews
David has watched my dogs in home during vacations as well as provided drop ins for walks and playtime when we were out long days. He is very responsible and reliable. He clearly loves animals and is very energetic and playful with them which they love. They respond well to him and he develops a repour with them right away. He can be firm with them to keep them safe as well as snuggle up with them on the couch. I recommend him highly
David is the best there is. He is patient, caring, and very reliable with a strong love for animals. He will go out of his way to make sure your pet is treated perfectly.

Getting to know your area would be very important. I would ask many questions about where your pup has gotten into before, things you would want your pup to be as far away from as possible, and what areas of the house they are allowed in.
Information David D. would like to know about your pet
I will always ask if the animal has any allergies/disabilities/medical needs and the number to the closest animal hospitals. I am comfortable administering oral medication to pups, but I have not been trained in injected medication.
A typical day
I live near Prospect Park so a walk down there is never a dull moment. I also have a car so I could pop the pup in the back and we could ride in style!

Availability
My full time job allows me to set my own hours and I only need to be on site for half of my time. I have plenty of time where I could be walking, playing, or getting to know your pup!
