Pet care experience
I have been around dogs my entire life. From my childhood pets, to helping my Aunt who bred German Shepherds, to volunteering at rescues, to owning and operating my own dog walking business for over 5 years, to hanging out with my current dog Orion, I love spending time our four legged friends! I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages and take care of them accordingly. Each dog has their own personality and it is important to interact with them based on it! Whether timid or playful, young or old, I will make sure our time together is as much fun as possible. I am also Pet First AID & CPR certified so you can rest easy while you are away.

Dave came last minute after we were having trouble getting our toddler out the door for the day. He came by, was super confident and knowledgeable, and took our crazy energetic dog for a two hour run. He was also able to follow last minute asks for bringing her into the house and putting her in the crate! Sent lots of pictures, great communication!
I am so happy to have found Dave on rover.com! My dog is strong willed and strong bodied so trusting someone to control him on a walk was a concern. As soon as Brick met Dave it was like he found a new best friend. Dave is warm, friendly and punctual. I highly recommend him!

I always request very specific instructions for how you want your furry friend to be taken care of. I also always make sure my clients are comfortable with giving me access to their homes and will do what ever I can to reassure them that their home and their family member are in trustworthy hands!

I will always plan a face to face sit down with my clients before starting to work with them. This is when I ask about the pet's personality, any issues or concerns such as how they do around strangers or other dogs, etc. It is important to me that we all start on the same page so I can provide the best care possible.
A typical day
Since I typically have clients in the Sunset, I try to spend as much time in Golden Gate park as possible. Where we go and how challenging the journey I leave up to the dog and their owners. I also try to plan out some time both before and after the walk for us to hang out in their regular environment so we can play and get reacquainted. I'm also a wildlife photographer and LOVE taking pictures of peoples pets for them.

Availability
My 12 year old mix-breed Orion and I walk at least 2 miles a day! Rain or shine I make sure we get out for some fresh air a minimum of twice a day.
