Pet care experience
I've had pets since as young as 6 years old. I've had 7 pets total in my life, and I have a natural connection with all animals. I remember being in elementary school reading animal encyclopedias and during my summer travels, connecting with animals of all kinds in the jungles of Jamaica. I really enjoy being with and having connections with anything nature related, especially animals. This is not only a job, but a passion of mine so rest assured I'm going to give your pet all the attention and love it needs. Whether it be noon,midafternoon, early evenings or late evenings I am here and available to give your fur baby all the love and care it needs. As of now, I'll mostly be doing dog walking and check ins at owners homes with the animals. When it comes to walks, I'll be sure to play with the dogs and to make sure they get the exercise they need. I'll also make sure to clean up behind them. When it comes to in-home care building a relationship with the dog, that's where you come in. I'm a good listener and want to know what you know about your pet, so that I can adjust and provide the best experience for your fur baby.

I highly recommend Daun for pet sitting and walking. He was able to handle a difficult dog easily and quickly when a last-minute pet sitting need arose this past holiday. He turned out to be a super fit—flexible and dependable when we really needed him. I would definitely hire Daun again.

As a disabled vet who cant give his care dog the excercise that she needs and desearves to live a healthy, happy, and very productive. I personally love and appreciate Daun. I'm pretty attentive when it comes to caring for animals. My approach is to get an understanding and overall vibe of the dog or cat, then from there I think of the best way to make sure they feel welcomed and loved. I make it a priority to lead with love, compassion and care. I'll never be 100% familiar with the history of your little one, but I make sure to have a heartfelt approach and good energy consistently so they can know they're safe around me and I'll protect them.

It's important to know any habits that the animal may have, if they're super active or more slow paced. Are they leash trained, do they respond well to other animals? Are they treat/ incentive oriented? Are their any special commands that they adhere to? Do they speak any other languages? Things like this within the general realm of getting a good understanding of the pet and their tendencies are really important to know, so I can make sure I warm up to them well, and maximize my time and experience with them.
A typical day
Ill take the dog around the neighborhood, occasionally through Rock Creek Park if they seem to have the energy for it. If there are any toys that they like, I'll make sure that I dedicate some time for play time with them. And occasionally I'll take them to a local park so I can wear them out a little and make sure they get proper exercise.

Im new to this, but I hope to transition to doing this full time. Im initially starting off a little slow, and working my way into the job to make sure I develop a good work life balance, and also to guarantee the best service that I can for your fur baby. I've designated 30 hours out of the week for this, and I expect to make sure your fur baby gets exercise for at least 30 mins. I'm committed to providing the best , most loving and caring experience I can for your little one.
