PET SPRINTER - I care for pets of all kind but specializes in keeping your dog fit and active beyond a simple walk. I have been working with pets for over a decade and have had many rescues and fosters of our own throughout the years, spanning the USA, Australia and the United Kingdom. As the business owner, I have a Masters Degree in Sports and Recreation, a lot of which I have applied to animal behavior and training over the years with most of my leisure time studying animal related literature and applying to our furry friends. I am also a long distance runner having competed at International level, so we can cater for higher end running with your pet (Especially larger, more energetic dogs) depending on their energy level and daily needs as well as basic walking and obedience training. For a dog to run every day as opposed to simply walking, its cardiovascular system is getting a full workout which also gets the dietary and nutritional elements back on track, not to mention wearing your dog out so that they relax and sleep well without damaging your home though frustration and unused energy. It is no secret that from puppies to dogs of all ages, exercise and nutrition is key, just like an athlete. Whether your new puppy requires basic house and socialization training or your grown dog has some bad habits like constant barking, jumping, anxiety or chewing your shoe as a toy, that need to be addressed, I can help with all of your needs. Many owners also do not realize that is important for all dogs including puppies to socialize with other dogs regularly. When training your dog, I concentrate on "One on one" time, however, once training time is over, I like to have them play and relax. My training dog and best friend Quagmire, my ten year old black and white Jack Russell/Dachund mix is always happy to socialize and has always had fun with all dogs and cats. I can come to your home for exercise and training visits so that your dog is safe and comfortable. I also provide training and boarding at our retreat where I will be able to train, exercise and care for your dog in our fully enclosed shaded retreat with pool, and climate controlled indoor nap time area. I make it a point of never having more than two guest dogs at our retreat at any one time so that I can give the best training, exercise time and care without your dog being overwhelmed by too many furry friends. While you are at work, let me spend quality time with your dog and work on habits and exercise so that the time alone is being utilized wisely and you get to come home to a relaxed friend after a hard day at the office.
