Darlin and Victor took great care of our pup, and we definitely will be repeat customers. They were very attentive to our dogs needs and personality and then regularly kept us updated with her daily schedule. The daily pictures always made us smile and gave us comfort she was in good hands.

I had to use Rover for last-minute pet sitting because of a work trip that came up a day before I had to leave. While I was grateful to find Darlin, she forced an in person meet and greet (after I repeatedly asked for a virtual option because I was sandwiched in between meetings and because she came late I ended up being late to my in person meeting in the city) — and though she forced the in person meeting even after my requests for a virtual option, she told me I was going to have to pay $20 — outside of rover via Venmo — for her traveling outside more than 5mi of her home location. I paid the meet and greet price because I was in a position of needing someone to come to my home to watch my dog. When I came back from my trip, I found a large bag of dog poop sitting on my back patio, where darlin had left it. Furthermore, one of the blinds in my sunroom was broken to the point where I have to replace the entire window treatment. Darlin was okay enough, but she asked a number of questions during that forced in person meet and greet, which were already on my profile. Had she taken the time to read through my pets profile. This caused a significant degree of concern, but again because of the last-minute nature of the visit I really didn’t feel like I had an opportunity to try to find someone else. Two days after she departed my home, she reached out to ask about my dogs rabies vaccination because she might have gotten scratched on the back of her leg. This is also highly suspicious given that no proof was shown, and the fact that as an adult, she did not identify the scratch until 36 hours after departing, my home. And as above, I had reminder her that all of this information is on my profile, to ensure the health status and veterinary standing of my dog are transparent to make sure that both the dog and all sitters are well cared for and safe . I’m not sure this is the standard for care, but I will not be using Rover for in-person pet sitting anymore. I will be using trusted housesitters instead because of this experience I had.
