Pet care experience
As most people I've had pets since I was a child. However, I've cared for over 20 different species of animals. My favorite is the little baby tiny puppy dogs. However, hound dogs definitely have a special place in my heart. I've retired from the U.S. military in 2018. I stay home and take care of my own puppy dogs here at home, and I know that my 3 small dogs and I would both enjoy more fur babies running around. I have some experience caring for pets with extra medical needs such as medication. I am more than willing to accommodate those needs and treat your baby as they were mine.

We are so happy that we chose Darel as a sitter. He had a great Rover rating, and repeat customers, and now we know why! Our pup Louis was happy and healthy when we picked him up after his stay and, what's even better, we received photos and videos several times a day during his stay which gave us peace of mind and made us happy. Derel was absolutely perfect and I'm glad I chose him for my first time using Rover or a dog walking service. He was friendly, punctual, and took some really great photos of my dog on their walk which was nice to see! My puppy came back tail wagging and in a great playful mood. Chose him because he had great reviews and I felt he'd be able to protect my dog from other larger dogs more than a petite woman like myself lol. I felt comfortable leaving my baby with him for one of her first walks ever..(just barely got her and she barely is turning 3 months). I will book with him again and you should also!!!
The entire experience was easy and wonderful from beginning to end. Sanjie stayed 5 nights. Once initial contact was made, Darel agreed to arrange a Meet & Greet between Sanjie and I with he, his wife and their 3 fur babies. The meeting went well and Darel agreed to accept Sanjie, though he is not yet neutered (all other pet boarding sites tried would not). I was a bit apprehensive as Sanjie has not spent much time around other dogs, but he did great. Darel was sure to give daily updates and sent several photos and videos through the Rover site. After some initial unsureness with Darel's pets, Sanjie did great and was able to become more used to being around other dogs. Darel and his wife were absolutely wonderful with my boy. The photos and videos sent made me feel very at ease about leaving him in their care. I will definitely use them again if I need to leave Sanjie behind for another trip.

Our fur babies, Elsie, is timid during initial meetings with other dogs but soon warms up. Stanley barks too much, but only for the first day, and Dorothy just follows Stanley’s lead. Temperament around other animals and kids Medications Potty Trained? Crate Trained? If crate trained, crate will need to be provided. I have one small crate if that works for you. But I don’t have multiple sizes :(
A typical day
We have a fenced in back yard full of turf, trees and mulch, that your dog can have free reign to. We also have a park nearby where we will take daily walks. My fur baby and I play tug a war and fetch, to which your dog will also be included if they are up for it.

Availability
I'm pretty much available anytime. Occasionally, I may travel to go to a hockey game out of state or visit family, but as a retiree, I'm enjoy most of my time at home, and I'd love to be able to help you while being able to share love with your furry friend.
