Pet care experience
I have had a dog or two at a time for the past 15 years, including raising a puppy from 4 months and also the gentle slower senior dog years and am comfortable with either. I did volunteer dog care for a local animal control department for maybe a year about 5 years ago, and around that time took an online dog behavior course. Dogs are just the best. I don't do dog walks anymore but can offer lots of snuggles and lounging around and going outside to pee and maybe (with your approval) to a fenced dog park for runaround time. Or we can drive to some trees and stand around smelling things, then go back to the house for some water. I have a 7 year old 35 lb pup who likes most dogs, but I keep her separate from short term guests just to make things easier.
Reviews
Great pet sitter. Highly recommend!
Woo! So lucky to have Darcy in our lives she's the absolute best and my animals love her so much!
On vacation, so tipping my dog sitter, Darcy. (Part 1) Great pet sitter!
Darcy is a wonderful sitter. She took care of our 3 cats when we had to go out of town for a weekend. We received regular updates with photos and the cats were happy and relaxed when we got back.

I'm a low mobility sitter so offer no-walkies dog care. We have an unfenced yard and do very short (like one house down and back) walk breaks every few hrs or when needed. We might hang out in the back yard together (never unattended) but will mostly be playing and napping indoors.

Information Darcy L. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog have any special needs? are there things that make them nervous? Do they need quiet/calm while eating? Do they usually get along with other dogs? Does they wear a jacket in the winter, or have a favorite toy to bring along? Are there any fruits or vegetables that are okay as treats? I just learned that my dog likes raw cauliflower, how weird. If it is OK I might give your dog a piece of apple or cucumber or something similar.
A typical day
first we go outside and walk around the yard for peetime. next dogs get breakfast while I make coffee, and we do a little morning snuggling while planning the day. Usually do outside breaks around 9am, 1pm, 5pm, 8pm, and 10pm. we might throw some toys around the house, squeak on some squeaky toys, and rest together.
