Positive-only experiences for dogs!
Pet care experience
I currently foster dogs for the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR), walk dogs that need a second chance with All Breed Rescue and Training (ABRT), and own a rescue dog of my own, so I have practical experience with both behavior and medical issues in dogs. I have been through canine behavior modification training, am certified in animal first aid (including wound care and CPR), and am currently in a program to become a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT) through ABRT. I believe in positive-only training methods and will give any dog under my care the same love and attention I give my own furry kids. Please note that though I work full time, I work from home through phone and laptop which affords me the flexibility to be with my furry charges 24/7!

Darcy was very responsive and came over for our initial meet/greet right away. She was extremely caring when interacting with our dogs and provided thorough updates including pictures throughout her stay with them. The pups were calm and relaxed upon our return home, which speaks volumes about the quality of Darcy's interactions with them. We are very particular about who is allowed to watch our dogs and Darcy passed with flying colors. You can have confidence that your pets are in excellent hands when she watches them. Highly recommended!
Darcy's been a fantastic pet parent her entire life, from curling up to nap with our Springer Spaniel when she was two years old to throwing herself wholeheartedly into learning positive, reward-based training. Dogs have been a life-long love for her, and she has devoted a great deal of time and energy to learning the most effective ways to speak their language. She will treat your fur-babies as her own, and they'll be showered with the love and attention they deserve. (And then some!!)

I am very active and love to take dogs for walks in the neighborhood. If the dog isn't leash trained, I will spend time working with them. I love to snuggle, give belly rubs, work on or play fetch, and stimulate those doggie brains with positive training methods to help you meet your canine goals! Please note that though I work full time, I work from home through phone and laptop which affords me the flexibility to be with my furry charges 24/7!
