My love affair with dogs began one balmy spring evening in June 2001 when I was lovingly bulldozed by two amazingly adorable pit bulls who quickly stole my heart! I was sunk and spent the next 10 yrs with them by my side. Fast forward to present & I am the proud stay at home mom to three elementary aged kids, a super amazing rescue pit & one sassy cat. As a family, we relish the unconditional love of our four legged friends! Our love for dogs means we are happy to open our home to yours (& make some extra FUR-llllooooooooh-NO! cash)! I've been tossing the idea of dog sitting around for a while now & find myself in the perfect situation to invite some furry friends to stay! I work from home during the day, running errands in between walks, playing in the yard & trying not to step on our dog, whose favorite spot is always under my feet! I have personally spent hours scouring Rover and debating over prospective care givers for our own dog over the past few years so I know how big of decision you are making! I have shared the same concerns & do everything possible to ensure that your pet's needs will be met with the respectful caring attention they deserve! AND they will have FUN! Lots of FUN! When your pet comes to stay with us, they will get unlimited love & understanding. We know for some, this may be a first & we will spend as much time as needed to make sure your pet is comfortable & happy! Once they are settled in, they will have open access to our main floor & can sleep crated if you prefer, or snuggle up wherever they feel comfortable. We would crate your pet if you let us know that is how they would be most comfortable, otherwise they will be running in the yard, walking in our neighborhood, cuddling on the couch or playing fetch. When I go out, I separate our guests to ensure that everybody is safe & comfortable. We have certain areas of our main floor gated off so we can easily do so. You can feel secure in knowing that he or she will have a healthy & fun place to pass the time while you're away. Our own dog, Pippa, LOVES to have playmates! She is a 2.5 year old pit bull who we have had since we rescued her in 2016 as a 4 month old. She is one of the most important members of our family and brings so much happiness to our household that we want to make sure she is just as happy as she's made us! Happy playmates = Happy Pippa! She has yet to meet a friend that she did not enjoy playing with or a friend who did not love her company! As if I'm not in love enough with dogs on my own, my kids are super enthusiastic as well & love helping to take care of & play with our "guests"! Who knew having someone else's pet in your home meant your kids would suddenly become responsible!? Additionally, we have a 4 year old cat who pretty much keeps to himself & slinks around in his cute little ninja style. We want our furry guests to be comfortable because the last thing they need when away from you is extra stress, so if having another pet from a different family here at the same time might be an issue, please don't hesitate to let us know! We have a fairly large home & can certainly provide separate spaces as necessary but we would prefer the ease of one big happy family & would try to arrange for different timing if possible. While we don't always expect to have pets from multiple families at once, however, overlaps can sometimes occur so we do like to know in advance if togetherness might be a problem!
