I recently had the unfortunate experience of using Dannie's pet sitting services for my two dogs, and I must say that I am deeply disappointed with the level of care and professionalism provided. Despite her previous 5-star reviews, my encounter with Dannie fell far short of my expectations. Lack of Communication and Updates: One of the major concerns I had was Dannie's lack of communication during her stay. I had to consistently prompt her for updates on my dogs, and even then, I only received a single picture of each of them after specifically requesting it on the second day. Adequate communication is crucial when entrusting someone with the well-being of your pets, and I found Dannie's approach lacking in this regard. Failure to Follow Instructions: During the initial meet and greet, I verbally communicated and provided written instructions regarding the dogs' daily routine, emphasizing the importance of walks after breakfast, when they were let out of their kennel, and before bedtime. Unfortunately, Dannie failed to adhere to these instructions, resulting in only two walks throughout the entire stay. The rest of the time, my dogs were confined to the backyard for mere minutes. This neglect of their exercise routine is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about their overall well-being. Neglect of Medication Schedule: Perhaps the most distressing issue was Dannie's disregard for the medication schedule. Both of my dogs require medication in the morning with their breakfast before being walked, and I explicitly communicated this to Dannie. However, based on our outdoor cameras, it was evident that the dogs were not let out until 11 am or later (which is also likely when they were fed/given medicine), a significant delay of 4-5 hours from their scheduled medication time. This negligence could have serious consequences for their health and indicates a lack of responsibility on Dannie's part. Excessive Consumption of Alcohol: Another alarming aspect was the discovery that four bottles of wine and a six-pack of beer were consumed within 48 hours at our home. While we didn’t restrict food/beverage access in our home, we certainly did not expect this amount during a 2 day stay. This not only raises concerns about the appropriateness of alcohol consumption while on duty but also correlates with a hindrance in the care provided for our dogs. This likely explains the late feeding & medication/lack of walks in the morning. Unauthorized Person in our Home: Upon returning home, our security system revealed the presence of an unauthorized person who not only visited but also stayed in our home. It is deeply concerning that Dannie did not seek our permission or inform us about this beforehand. A responsible and trustworthy pet sitter should prioritize transparency and seek consent before allowing unknown individuals into the client's home. In conclusion, despite positive reviews and our initial positive impression during the meet and greet, my experience with Dannie was disappointing and concerning. I would not recommend her services based on the inadequate communication, failure to follow instructions, neglect of the medication schedule, excessive alcohol consumption, and the unauthorized person in our home. It is essential for pet sitters to prioritize the well-being of the animals entrusted to them and maintain a high level of professionalism throughout their stay.

She was great with my fur babies and sent me pictures while I was away. I will definitely be having her pet sit in the future
