From 12 years old I have looked after my family, friends and neighbours dogs whilst they’ve been on holiday and at work. As an adult I’ve had my own from rescues to pups, so understand the needs and extra care various breeds and ages need.

Danni is probably the most responsible person I know! She is caring and one of the few people I trust to care for my dog when I'm at work. She always takes my dog on the best walks that suit his needs and he adores her :)

I live in a detached home in a quiet country village at the foot of the downs. I don’t have a garden but have a small outdoor space and fields/woodland on my doorstep that I spend most of my time in. I especially understand the extra needs for reactive, anxious or nervous dogs so can tailor walks so they feel at ease and comfortable, minimising any triggers. Like wise for pups or special needs dogs that may need extra time and attention. I have my own sausage dog who loves to play and spend time with other dogs, so can be a play mate on walks or visits, but equally happily separate if preferred. Thanks to him and previous rescue dogs, I have a wide understanding of breeds traits, extra needs and the obstacles we as owners face. My aim is for you to feel confident your dog will be well cared for, with no risks taken and for your dog to have a great time in a safe environment.

Do not hesitate to let me know if your dog has any special requirements, allergies, foods, medicines or toys they need with them, as well as any triggers they may have when out of the house. Also if they have any specific commands or recalls aids like balls and treats so I can take these out with me on walks ☺️
A typical day
This depends on the dogs energy levels and needs, but usually we have a little play to bond, then head out on a walk. Usually it will be on a safe walk I know well in the downs, but if there is a preferred park or route then I will take them on that. Once back I’ll clean them off if needed and give them any food required. Usually they’ll have little nap around this time, but if they have a higher energy limit then I’ll give them a puzzle or any chews/toys given to keep them occupied or another play. If they need another walk later on in the day I’ll try to take them on a different route to mix it up, but will follow any instructions given for walking and feeding. I would then give them a clean, any dinner or food and prepare them for heading home ?

Availability
I work on a freelance basis so have a lot of free days! I spend most of this time with my dachsund Oakley, walking in the downs and visiting friends, so would fit in perfectly to stop by and check in on your companions and bring others along for either small local or big country walks, which ever they prefer! ☺️
