Pet care experience
I used to volunteer at a local park where I took care of wild animals, and also at Fairfax and Chantilly animal shelters. I have an 8 year old big dog and a 6 year old cat. I'm a full time professional sitter/walker for a McLean based company, which means I'm pet CPR and first aid certified. I have experience with senior, large, and special needs dogs. I also cat-sit on a regular basis. Unfortunately I can't take your pets for overnight boarding because I have my own pets, but I can do walking, sitting, and overnights. This is my full-time job so my availability changes day-to-day. I'm happy to take requests in the Fair Oaks area because I live close enough where I can easily fit a new job into my schedule.

Your dog’s personality. For example, my dog is stubborn and aloof. She has almost non-existent desire to please people. So I don’t speak to her in a high pitched voice or yell at her since it’s not effective. I speak to her normally and she’ll go along if she feels like it. I just have to be patient. I know most dogs aren’t like this, so similar to humans, I treat each dog according to his or her personality.
