Pet care experience
I love dogs and have had two doxies of my own, Haunzie (lived to 14 years) and Bambina (lived to 18.5 years). I'm sure some day I'll get a new dog, but until then the next best thing is looking after and enjoying someone else's dog! Having had two geriatric dogs of my own, I'm especially comfortable caring for elderly dogs. Happy to drop-in on your senior citizen or if you have a younger whipper snapper equally happy to drop-in or walk him/her as well! I'm home full-time and live downtown in Grand Rapids, right next to the river. I love to walk the river front and would gladly take your dog along with me on my daily jaunts. If your dog is home alone in an apartment or loft, I'm available week days from 9am - 4pm to help relieve your pooch, provide lots of pats and attaboys, offer great companionship as well as give him/her some good playtime and exercise.

D'Ann has cared for my three dachshunds while I was at work. She let them out to potty and took them on short walks. Always loving and responsible. We trust D'Ann with our pets and home. My dogs bark with delight when they see her.

They have a very special connection which I cherish for both of them. D'Ann is incredibly generous, warm and loving...a true dog magnet, well versed in doggie language! I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to recommend her. She defines dog's best friend.
Over the years D'Ann has been a great Mom to their doggies as well as ours and many others. She has dog sat for us on many occasions. She treats her fur baby as if was their child. She is compassionate, attentive, loving, and dependable. When we are gone, we know our puppy is in good hands and we would recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible caretaker for their dog.

Age, breed, medical or health issues, how far they can walk, are they aggressive (towards people and/or other dogs). Having had two doxies before, I'm especially partial to this breed! I love Beagles too. Most small to medium sized breeds I'm comfortable with.
A typical day
Since I live downtown Grand Rapids my daily walks always include the riverfront walking route - roundtrip from the Green Bridge to the Blue Bridge and back or anything in between - both east or west sides. There are ample grass areas to sniff and play along the route and right out front my building is a green space called Canal Park.
