Caring for animals is in my blood. We always had a family dog and at the age of 10 I got my very own dog, who I was solely responsible for. I walked her before school, after school and took her to training classes. I went on to study for a national diploma in animal care. I got a job in a veterinary practice and became an Animal Nursing Auxiliary, which I have done for the last 17 years. My job included caring for inpatients, giving them medication, recovering them from general anaesthesia, changing dressings, clipping nails, feeding, walking and comforting them, amongst other things! I currently have an English Setter called Xic, who I adopted 4 years ago, and two cats, both of which I adopted through work. I have often taken my work home with me! I left my job at the vets in August 2022 so I am able to commit to dog walking and pet care full time. Weekends would be considered on an individual basis. Your pet would be cared for as if he/she were my own. Their safety would be my number one priority. I would make sure I stuck to their routine and any dietary requirements they may have. I am happy to give any medication they might need. When travelling, they would be safely secured.
