I've been taking care of my own pets plus friends, family, and neighbors pets for 8 years.. I've stayed at others house, made sure medications were given as needed, walked/exercised regularly, fed, groomed, and of course making sure they felt safe. I believe its important to understand the body language and attitude of others pets especially if you're going into their home. You're new to them and their owner is leaving you in charge of them so they are likely to be anxious and uncertain of how to take you being there so allowing them to grow their trust and comfort in you is crucial. I am a veterinary assistant so i am very informed and have experience comforting animals and knowing when something is wrong and how to take action. Along with that i also have worked in a boarding/daycare business and have been always the person going the extra mile whether it was just giving extra blankets, more frequent/longer play time outside, treats, or just something as simple as sitting with them and letting them lay on me for their peace of mind. I do have experience in puppy training techniques, such as potty/crate training and obedience. Along with puppy training i do have experience with senior care, such as lifting/carrying, providing extra bedding, help walking/guiding (pets who are blind), waking up your pet, getting their attention, signaling (pets who are deaf), often senior pets need a lot more care then a puppy or young adult pet given the fact they can lose their abilities to do everyday tasks. I'm sure everyone says they will give your pet the best care but i promise that its me that will do the best job. I am proud of the knowledge and experience i have that allows me to be so great and confident when working with others pets. These are your family and i would hope someone would treat my pets as their family if i needed them to so i promise to do the same for you.
