Pet care experience
I'm a full time pet and house sitter, this is all I do AND I’m a Rover OG! My 9th anniversary with River is March of 2023. I would love to care and nurture your babies while you enjoy a worry free vacation. I am happy to take special requests and will provide the best love and care whether you play in the sun or ski in the snowy mountains! Thanks! :) Does Baby get car sick? Doesnt like to travel? That's ok! I'll come to you! I offer the convenience of loving and caring for your pets in their own home with his/her own things and atmosphere. I've also been known to occasionally clean, vacuum and wash clothes. :) I'm good with extended stays, I've house/pet sat for over 25 years. Leaving as small a footprint as possible when I go. I look forward to spending time with my next Rover Baby. Why I love dog sitting All my life. Grew up with dogs, big and small. My parents had dogs when I was born, toy foxes. My first dog was a Cocker Spaniel, Khandee Leigh. My mom brought her home to me when I was 6 after my daddy died. We had her for 14 years. I learned to cut nails, bathe her, walk her and even groom her in the summer. My mom had chihuahuas all through my teen and adult years. When my BFF's mother died in March of 2008 we inherited her Chinese Shar Pei. She was the light in our hearts. A beautiful, well trained, 50lb, shedding angel, Chevy Girl. We were blessed with her soul for almost 6 wonderful years. On March 3, 2014, we lost her to cancer. I've always puppy sat for friends and family and after losing Chevy, I thought this was a perfect opportunity to help out other people who travel and don't want to leave their babies in a kennel or at a vet office. Personal care in your home. Not in a cage, stressed out, scared and alone at night. Thanks for reading :) My experience administering medication Yes. Worked out even better than I hoped and definitely was the best option for the doggo in my opinion too. Will absolutely use again and recommend to anyone in need of a sitter or someone to check in on the fur babies.
Dani was great! It’s been very difficult to find someone I trust to stay in my home and watch my beloved Ruger, but she was sure to send me lots of pictures and updates and made me feel like he was in great hands the entire time! I would def ask Dani to watch Ruger again, and highly recommend her!!
Dani was INCREDIBLE!! Upon the meet and greet, she got along with Sam and Maizey. You could tell she loves her job and her clients. While gone, we got regular daily updates, and pics which set us at ease. (We always travel with our puppies, but couldn't take them this trip) Sam had a slight leg injury the day of the trip and we left pretty strict instructions on how to care for him via the vet. She followed them to a T and taking him to his follow up visit, the vet said he was recovering better than he expected! <3 Dani left the house in GREAT shape! I think she spoiled us on dog sitters from now on! :) If you book with Dani, you'll be glad you did!
Danielle is amazing! My dogs love her to pieces and she always goes above and beyond. Such a relief to know they’re in such good hands when I travel!

Does your baby have food restrictions or aggression when eating? Do they free feed or feed on schedule? House-broken? Paper trained or outside, both? Is your baby a runner? What do they do if they get loose? Any bad habits we should know about? Please be honest, we are quite flexible. ** Being that we have 2 very small dogs, I would prefer no babies over 25lbs. Although, we are willing to review on a case by case basis and a meet and greet before booking. *** I would prefer not to take hunting dogs or dogs that have a history of chasing small animals (Greyhounds and the like)
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks If you prefer they be walked as opposed to just running in the back yard, that can be provided. Unfortunately, we do not have a dog park in Slidell yet, but they say it's coming. :) I live on a dead end street and we have an easement that runs into a relatively quiet residential neighborhood. Your dog's sleeping arrangement They can sleep wherever the prefer, except our bed. It is almost 4 feet off the ground and not safe. I have no problem with them on the furniture, that's what they make a lint brush and vacuum for. We also have several dog beds, crates and ottomans for their lounging pleasure. Time I'll spend with your dog I am home almost all the time. My husband is a chef and works long hours, but spends a good bit of time on the sofa with our babies every night when he gets home. I run errands weekly and occasionally a doctor appointment or lunch with friends, but rarely do I leave and no one is home. Either my mother in law or husband are here.
