Please read all the way to the end before requesting services :) I'm a young medical professional living in Detroit who loves to care for dogs! I have two energetic pits of my own, and have experience caring for and walking many high energy breeds (pits, Australian and German Shepherds, and many lovable mystery mutts). I will be sure to listen to your needs and concerns to avoid undoing training, etc. (if you don't let the dog do x y or z on a walk, I won't either!) I know how it feels to worry about your dog when you're at school or work all day. Let me give you peace of mind knowing your good boy or girl is exercised and happy!

Danielle did an above and beyond job caring for our senior dog and cat while we were on vacation. She communicated daily with photos and updates about how our pets were doing, she was transparent about her schedule, when she would be able to check in during the day, our pets behavior, health etc. She even had a great recommendation to discuss with our vet to help our dog's arthritis. This was our first time using Rover and we were admittedly a little nervous to leave our senior pets with someone they didn't know but Danielle's attentiveness made any concern disappear on day 1 and we had a much better vacation knowing Tonka and Basti were in her care. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.

Danielle was very attentive to the dogs and the house as well as being very communicative. I didn’t worry about anything while I was gone. There were plenty of pictures that showed me exactly how comfortable the “kids” were and I would hire her back anytime!

Information Danielle P. would like to know about your pet
If your male dog is NOT neutered, I cannot sit for him. Please understand that I will NOT sit for attached males. Females must be spayed. I ask you provide copies of your dog's spay/neuter paperwork to verify this. If you are not truthful before booking, I will cancel the stay. If you are reading this, include the words "got it, fixed!" in your request. If you dog causes messes or property damage outside what is to be expected (e.g. some marking in males is expected on the first day, but half a dozen accidents inside is not), I will charge an additional cleaning fee. We will discuss this upon booking. If you are reading this, type the words "cleaning fee understood" in the request. Please let me know if your dog is leash aggressive! I want to keep everyone safe. Also, if your dog is prone to snagging things off the ground (some love eating sticks), let me know so I can be extra vigilant. PLEASE be honest about your dogs habits. I am experienced in dog behavior and management, but I cannot do a good job unless you are honest with me about your dog. I will NOT sit for any dog who has been trained with an e-collar. If you are reading this, type the words "read completely" in the request.
A typical day
If your dog likes to go on runs with you, I'm happy to bring him or her on my runs as well! We don't do dog parks, but I love long walks in a human park with dogs. I enjoy making puzzle feeders for my own dogs and our clients. And of course, lots of couch time!

Availability
Due to my medical training schedule, my availability changes weekly. Because of this, I am very discerning with what dogs I take during which weeks. For example, I will not take new dogs during a very busy stretch because it isn’t fair to the pups. My schedule varies so we will discuss if your dog is a good fit before booking. When I'm off, I'm a huge homebody, and spend the day spoiling the pups. We spend a lot of supervised playtime in the backyard and enjoy at least one walk a day, weather permitting.
