A true home away from home

Pet care experience

I have been petsitting and fostering dogs of all breeds and personalities for just under 15 years now. I work from home which is on a small horse farm so I am able to be with your dog all day and there is lots of room for puppy playtime! My goal always is to minimize any anxieties your dog may have from being away from their home and family by making him or her feel part of ours. I've found that a nice walk, a few treats, and a little one on one time on the couch seems to do the trick for most! :-) My two little dogs are very used to visitors and are happy to keep their distance from those who need it or play all day with those who want to! Please contact me if you're looking for an ideal home away from home situation for your dog(s) while you're away and I'll look forward to hearing from you! Kindly, Danielle

Our Madison had her first play date with other pups yesterday in Danielle's care. Danielle was fantastic with her and Maddie had a wonderful time! She is looking forward to her play date again next week. Thank you again Danielle! ?

Danielle was awesome. She understands that pet care can make or break a vacation for owners. We were never so relaxed on a vacation knowing Bailey was in expert/loving hands. Hate to give such a review because I want her all to myself. You will not be disappointed, she will far exceed your expectations.

We could not have dreamed of a better puppy palace for our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies. Danielle was not only able to accommodate us on short notice during a holiday week, but kept us feeling safe and secure by sending multiple pictures of our puppies while we were travelling. We could tell they were in great hands and to be honest, we were a little scared they may not want to come home......:-)

I've know Danielle for over 20 years and over time I've seen her care for and rehabilitate countless animals, including many street and shelter dogs, some of which were very difficult cases. I've never seen a dog she doesn't get along with. On top of that, she has a degree in animal science and is very knowledgeable about everyday health issues and overall dog wellness. She has watched my dog, Tank, countless times and I am always happy with the care she provides. Danielle always sends photo/text updates letting me know how things are going, so I never have to worry while I'm away. Tank also requires home cooked meals because of his food allergies and Danielle has gladly accommodated. Tank always gets so excited when we pull in her driveway because he knows he's going to get to stay with Danielle and her two awesome rescues, Lily and Hunter! Danielle is the best! I recommend her to everyone!! :)

Information Danielle P. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know the following if they apply: 1. Any special needs your dog has (medications, limited mobility, special diet requirements, fears or idiosyncrasies, etc.) 2. Any allergies 3. If you do NOT want them allowed on the furniture 4. If they are food, toy, or dog aggressive (everyone is fed separately here so food aggression isn't really a problem but please let me know anyway so I can be extra mindful with treats)

A typical day

I take daily walks and have 10 acres of land for your dog to enjoy and explore! The main level of our home is big enough for dogs to play and wrestle with each other and long enough for game of fetch during bad weather. Besides daily long walks and regular potty breaks, I take short trips to and from the barn to feed and check my horses and I love to bring along the dogs, close up the barn, and let them romp off leash while the horses finish their meals. (Don't worry, the horses are 100% separated and secured in stalls during this time so there is zero risk to either species!)
